Jeremiah 30

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

यह सन्देश यहोवा का है जो यिर्मयाह को मिले।

Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

इस्राएल के लोगों के परमेश्वर यहोवा ने यह कहा, “यिर्मयाह, मैंने जो सन्देश दिये है, उन्हें एक पुस्तक में लिख डालो। इस पुस्तक को अपने लिये लिखो।”

For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

यह सन्देश यहोवा का है। “यह करो, क्योंकि वे दिन आएंगे जब मैं अपने लोगों इस्राएल और यहूदा को देश निकाले से वापस लाऊँगा।” यह सन्देश यहोवा का है। “मैं उन लोगों को उस देश में वापस लाऊँगा जिसे मैंने उनके पूर्वजों को दिया था। तब मेरे लोग उस देश को फिर अपना बनायेंगे।”

And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

यहोवा ने यह सन्देश इस्राएल और यहूदा के लोगों के बारे में दिया।

For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

यहोवा ने जो कहा, वह यह है: “हम भय से रोते लोगों का रोना सुनते हैं! लोग भयभीत हैं! कहीं शान्ति नहीं!

Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

“यह प्रश्न पूछो इस पर विचार करो: क्या कोई पुरुष बच्चे को जन्म दे सकता है निश्चय ही नही! तब मैं हर एक शक्तिशाली व्यक्ति को पेट पकड़े क्यों देखता हूँ मानों वे प्रसव करने वाली स्त्री की पीड़ा सह रहे हो क्यों हर एक व्यक्ति का मुख शव सा सफेद हो रहा है क्यों? क्योंकि लोग अत्यन्त भयभीत हैं।

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

“यह याकूब के लिये अत्यन्त महत्वपूर्ण समय है। यह बड़ी विपत्ति का समय है। इस प्रकार का समय फिर कभी नहीं आएगा। किन्तु याकूब बच जायेगा।”

For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

यह सन्देश सर्वशक्तिमान यहोवा का है: “उस समय, मैं इस्राएल और यहूदा के लोगों की गर्दन से जुवे को तोड़ डालूँगा और तुम्हें जकड़ने वाली रस्सियों को मैं तोड़ दूँगा। विदेशों के लोग मेरे लोगों को फिर कभी दास होने के लिये विवश नहीं करेंगे।

But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

इस्राएल और यहूदा के लोग अन्य देशों की भी सेवा नहीं करेंगे। नहीं, वे तो अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की सेवा करेंगे और वे अपने राजा दाऊद की सेवा करेंगे। मैं उस राजा को उनके पास भेजूँगा।

Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

“अत: मेरे सेवक याकूब डरो नहीं।” यह सन्देश यहोवा का है। “इस्राएल, डरो नहीं। मैं उस अति दूर के स्थान से तुम्हें बचाऊँगा। तुम उस बहुत दूर के देश में बन्दी हो, किन्तु मैं तुम्हारे वंशजों को उस देश से बचाऊँगा। याकूब फिर शान्ति पाएगा। याकूब को लोग तंग नहीं करेंगे। मेरे लोगों को भयभीत करने वाला कोई शत्रु नहीं होगा।

For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

इस्राएल और यहूदा के लोगों, मैं तुम्हारे साथ हूँ।” यह सन्देश यहोवा का है, “और मैं तुम्हें बचाऊँगा। मैंने तुम्हें उन राष्ट्रों में भेजा। किन्तु मैं उन सभी राष्ट्रों को पूरी तरह नष्ट कर दूँगा। यह सत्य है कि मैं उन राष्ट्रों को नष्ट करुँगा। किन्तु मैं तुम्हें नष्ट नहीं करुँगा। तुम्हें उन बुरे कामों का जरूर दण्ड मिलेगा जिन्हें तुमने किये। किन्तु मैं तुम्हें अच्छी प्रकार से अनुशासित करूँगा।”

For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.

यहोवा कहता है, “इस्राएल और यहूदा के तुम लोगों को एक घाव है जो अच्छा नहीं किया जा सकता। तुम्हें एक चोट है जो अच्छी नहीं हो सकती।

There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.

तुम्हारे घावों को ठीक करने वाला कोई व्यक्ति नहीं है। अत: तुम स्वस्थ नहीं हो सकते।

All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.

तुम अनेक राष्ट्रों के मित्र बने हो, किन्तु वे राष्ट्र तुम्हारी परवाह नहीं करते। तुम्हारे मित्र तुम्हें भूल गए हैं। मैंने तुम्हें शत्रु जैसी चोट पहुँचाई। मैंने तुम्हें कठोर दण्ड दिया। मैंने यह तुम्हारे बड़े अपराध के लिये किया।

Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

इस्राएल और यहूदा तुम अपने घाव के बारे में क्यों चिल्ला रहे हो तुम्हारा घाव कष्टकर है और इसका कोई उपचार नहीं है। मैंने अर्थात् यहोवा ने तुम्हारे बड़े अपराधों के कारण तुम्हें यह सब किया। मैंने ये चीजें तुम्हारे अनेक पापों के कारण कीं।

Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

उन राष्ट्रों ने तुम्हें नष्ट किया। किन्तु अब वे राष्ट्र नष्ट किये जायेंगे। इस्राएल और यहूदा तुम्हारे शत्रु बन्दी होंगे। उन लोगों ने तुम्हारी चीज़ें चुराई। किन्तु अन्य लोग उनकी चीज़ें चुराएंगे। उन लोगों ने तुम्हारी चीज़ें युद्ध में लीं। किन्तु अन्य लोग उनसे चीज़ें युद्ध में लेंगे।

For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

मैं तुम्हारे स्वास्थ को लौटाऊँगा और मैं तुम्हारे घावों को भरूँगा।” यह सन्देश यहोवा का है। “क्यों क्योंकि अन्य लोगों ने कहा कि तुम जाति—बहिष्कृत हो। उन लोगों ने कहा, ‘कोई भी सिय्योन की परवाह नहीं करता।’”

Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.

यहोवा कहता है: “याकूब के लोग अब बन्दी हैं। किन्तु वे वापस आएंगे। और मैं याकूब के परिवारों पर दया करूँगा। नगर अब बरबाद इमारतों से ढका एक पहाड़ी मात्र है। किन्तु यह नगर फिर बनेगा और राजा का महल भी वहाँ फिर बनेगा जहाँ इसे होना चाहिये।

And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

उन स्थानों पर लोग स्तुतिगान करेंगे। वहाँ हँसी ठट्ठा भी सुनाई पड़ेगा। मैं उन्हें बहुत सी सन्तानें दूँगा। इस्राएल और यहूदा छोटे नहीं रहेंगे। मैं उन्हें सम्मान दूँगा। कोई व्यक्ति उनका अनादर नहीं करेगा।

Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.

याकूब का परिवार प्राचीन काल के परिवारों सा होगा। मैं इस्राएल और यहूदा के लोगों को शक्तिशाली बनाऊँगा और मैं उन लोगों को दण्ड दूँगा जो उन पर चोट करेंगे।

And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.

उन्हीं में से एक उनका अगुवा होगा। वह शासक मेरे लोगों में से होगा। वह मेरे नजदीक तब आएंगे जब मैं उनसे ऐसा करने को कहूँगा। अत: मैं उस अगुवा को अपने पास बुलाऊँगा और वह मेरे निकट होगा।

And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

तुम मेरे लोग होगे और मैं तुम्हारा परमेश्वर होऊँगा।”

Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.

यहोवा बहुत क्रोधित था। उसने लोगों को दण्ड दिया और दण्ड प्रचंड आंधी की तरह आया। दण्ड एक चक्रवात सा, दुष्ट लोगों के विरुद्ध आया।

The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.

यहोवा तब तक क्रोधित रहेगा जब तक वे लोगों को दण्ड देना पूरा नहीं करता वह तब तक क्रोधित रहेगा जब तक वह अपनी योजना के अनुसार दण्ड नहीं दे लेता। जब वह दिन आएगा तो यहूदा के लोगों, तुम समझ जाओगे।
