Ezekiel 16

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

तब यहोवा का वचन मुझे मिला। उसने कहा,

Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,

“मनुष्य के पुत्र, यरूशलेम के लोगों को उन भयंकर बुरे कामों को समझाओ जिन्हें उन्होंने किया है।

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.

तुम्हें कहना चाहिए, ‘मेरा स्वामी यहोवा यरूशलेम के लोगों को यह सन्देश देता है: अपना इतिहास देखो। तुम कनान में उत्पन्न हुए थे। तुम्हारा पिता एमोरी था। तुम्हारी माँ हित्ती थी।

And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.

यरूशलेम, जिस दिन तुम उत्पन्न हुए थे, तुम्हारे नाभि—नाल को काटने वाला कोई नहीं था। किसी ने तुम पर नमक नहीं डाला और तुम्हें स्वच्छ करने के लिये नहलाया नहीं। किसी ने तुम्हें वस्त्र में नहीं लपेटा।

None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.

यरूशलेम, तुम सब तरह से अकेले थे। कोई न तुम्हारे प्रति खेद प्रकट करता था, न ही ध्यान देता था। यरूशलेम, जिन दिन तुम उत्पन्न हुए, तुम्हारे माता—पिता ने तुम्हें मैदान में डाल दिया। तुम तब तक रक्त और झिल्ली में लिपटे थे।

And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.

“‘तब मैं (परमेश्वर) उधर से गुजरा। मैंने तुम्हें वहाँ खून से लथपथ पड़ा पाया। तुम खून में सनी थीं, किन्तु मैंने कहा, ‘जीवित रहो!’ हाँ, तुम रक्त में सनी थीं, किन्तु मैंने कहा, ‘जीवित रहो!’

I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.

मैंने तुम्हारी सहायता खेत में पौधे की तरह बढ़ने में की। तुम बढ़ती ही गई। तुम एक युवती बनी, तुम्हारा ऋतु—धर्म आरम्भ हुआ, तुम्हारे वक्ष—स्थल बढ़े, तुम्हारे केश बढ़ने आरम्भ हुए। किन्तु तुम तब तक वस्त्रहीन और नंगी थीं।

Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

मैंने तुम पर दृष्टि डाली। मैंने देखा कि तुम प्रेम के लिये तैयार थीं। इसलिये मैंने तुम्हारे ऊपर अपने वस्त्र डाले और तुम्हारी नग्नता को ढका। मैंने तुमसे विवाह करने का वचन दिया। मैंने तुम्हारे साथ वाचा की और तुम मेरी बनीं।” मेरे स्वामी यहोवा ने ये बातें कहीं।

Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.

“‘मैंने तुम्हें पानी से नहलाया। मैंने तुम्हारे रक्त को धोया और मैंने तुम्हारी त्वचा पर तेल मला।

I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.

मैंने तुम्हें एक सुन्दर पहनावा और कोमल चमड़े के जूते दिये। मैंने तुम्हें एक महीन मलमल और एक रेशमी वस्त्र दिया।

I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.

तब मैंने तुम्हें कुछ आभूषण दिये। मैंने तुम्हारी भुजाओं में बाजूबन्द पहनाए और तुम्हारे गले में हार पहनाया।

And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.

मैंने तुम्हें एक नथ, कुछ कान की बालियाँ और सुन्दर मुकुट पहनने के लिये दिया।

Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.

तुम अपने सोने चाँदी के आभूषणों, अपने मलमल और रेशमी वस्त्रों और कढ़ाई किये पहनावे में सुन्दर दिखती थीं! तुमने उत्तम भोजन किया। तुम अत्याधिक सुन्दर थी और तुम रानी बनीं!

And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.

तुम अपनी सुन्दरता के लिये विख्यात हुई। यह सब कुछ इसलिये हुआ क्योंकि मैंने तुम्हें इतना अधिक सुन्दर बनाया!’” मेरे स्वामी यहोवा ने ये बातें कहीं।

But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.

परमेश्वर ने कहा, “किन्तु तुमने अपनी सुन्दरता पर विश्वास करना आरम्भ किया। तुमने अपने यश का उपयोग किया और मुझसे विश्वासघात किया। तुमने एक वेश्या की तरह काम किया जो हर गुजरने वाले की हो। तुमने उन सभी को अपने को अर्पित किया!

And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

तुमने अपने सुन्दर वस्त्र लिये और उनका उपयोग अपनी पूजा के स्थानों को सजाने के लिये किया। तुमने उन स्थानों पर एक वेश्या की तरह काम किया। तुमने अपने को उस हर व्यक्ति को अर्पित किया जो वहाँ आया!

Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,

तब मेरा दिया हुआ सुन्दर आभूषण तुमने लिया और तुमने उस सोने—चाँदी का उपयोग मनुष्यों की मूर्तियाँ बनाने के लिये किया। तुमने उनके साथ भी यौन—सम्बन्ध किया!

And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.

तब तुमने सुन्दर वस्त्र लिये और उन मूर्तियों के लिये पहनावा बनाया। तुमने यह सुगन्धि और धूप—बत्ती को लिया जो मैंने तुम्हें दी थी तथा उसे उन देवमूर्तियों के सामने चढ़ाया!

My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD.

मैंने तुम्हें रोटी, मधु और तेल दिये। किन्तु तुमने वह भोजन अपनी देवमूर्तियों को दिया। तुमने उसे अपने असत्य देवताओं को प्रसन्न करने के लिये सुगन्धि के रूप में भेंट किया। तुमने उन असत्य देवताओं के साथ वेश्या जैसा व्यवहार किया!” मेरे स्वामी यहोवा ने ये बातें कहीं।

Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,

परमेश्वर ने कहा, “तुमने अपने पुत्र—पुत्रियाँ लेकर जिन्हें तूने मेरे लिए जन्म दिया, उन मूर्तियों को बलि चढ़ायी। किन्तु ये वे पाप हैं जो तुमने तब किये जब मुझे धोखा दिया और उन असत्य देवताओं के पास चली गई।

That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?

तुमने मेरे पुत्रों की हत्या की और उन्हें आग के द्वारा उन असत्य देवताओं पर चढ़ाया।

And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.

तुमने मुझे छोड़ा और वे भयानक काम किये और तुमने अपना वह समय कभी याद नहीं किया जब तुम बच्ची थीं। तुमने याद नहीं किया कि जब मैंने तुम्हें पाया तब तुम नंगी थीं और रक्त में छटपटा रही थीं।

And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD;)

“उन सभी बुरी चीजों के बाद, ओह यरूशलेम, यह तुम्हारे लिये बहुत बुरा होगा!” मेरे स्वामी यहोवा ने यह सब बातें कहीं।

That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street.

“उन सब बातों के बाद तुमने उस असत्य देवता की पूजा के लिये वह टीला बनाया। तुमने हर एक सड़क के मोड़ पर असत्य देवताओं की पूजा के लिये उन स्थानों को बनाया।

Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.

तुमने अपने टीले हर एक सड़क की छोर पर बनाए। तब तुमने अपने सौन्दर्य का मान घटाया। तुमने इसका उपयोग हर पास से गुजरने वाले को फँसाने के लिये किया। तुमने अपने अधोवस्त्र को ऊपर उठाया जिससे वे तुम्हारी टांगे देख सकें और तब तुम उन लोगों के साथ एक वेश्या के समान हो गई।

Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.

तब तुम उस पड़ोसी मिस्र के पास गई जिसका यौन अंग विशाल था। तुमने मुझे क्रोधित करने के लिये उसके साथ कई बार यौन—सम्बन्ध स्थापित किया।

Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.

इसलिये मैंने तुम्हें दण्ड दिया। मैंने तुम्हें अनुमोदित की गई भूमि का एक भाग ले लिया। मैंने तुम्हारे शत्रु पलिश्तियों की पुत्रियों (नगरों) को वह करने दिया जो वे तुम्हारा करना चाहती थीं। जो पाप तुमने किये उससे उनके भी मर्म पर चोट पहुँची।

Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.

तब तुम अश्शूर के साथ शारीरिक सम्बंध करने गई। किन्तु तुम्हें पर्याप्त न मिल सका। तुम कभी तृप्त न हुई।

Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.

इसलिए तुम कनान की ओर मुड़ी और उसके बाद बाबुल की ओर और तब भी तुम तृप्त न हुई।

How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman;

तुम इतनी कमजोर हो। तुमने उन सभी व्यक्तियों (देशों) को पाप करने में लगने दिया। तुमने ठीक एक वेश्या की तरह काम किया।” वे बातें मेरे स्वामी यहोवा ने कहीं।

In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire;

“तुमने अपने टीले हर एक सड़क के छोर पर बनाए और तुमने अपनी पूजा के स्थान हर सड़क की मोड़ पर बनाए। और कमाई को तुच्छ जाना। इसलिए तू वेश्या भी न रही।

But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!

तुम व्यभिचारिणी स्त्री। तुमने अपने पति की तुलना में अजनबियों के साथ शारीरिक सम्बंध करना अधिक अच्छा माना।

They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom.

अधिकांश वेश्यायें शारीरिक सम्बंध के लिये व्यक्ति को भुगतान करने के लिये विवश करती हैं। किन्तु तुम अपने प्रेमियों को लुभाने के लिये स्वयं भेंट देती हो और उन्हें शारीरिक सम्बधं के लिये आमंत्रित करती हो। तुमने अपने चारों ओर के सभी लोगों को अपने साथ शारीरिक सम्बंध के लिये आमंत्रित किया।

And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.

तुम अधिकांश वेश्यायों के ठीक विपरीत हो। अधिकांश वेश्यायें पुरुषों को अपने भुगतान के लिये विवश करती हैं। किन्तु तुम पुरुषों को अपने साथ शारीरिक सम्बन्ध का भुगतान करती हो।”

Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:

हे वेश्या, यहोवा से आये वचन को सुनो।

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;

मेरा स्वामी यहोवा ये बातें कहता है: “तुमने अपनी मुद्रा व्यय कर दी है और अपने प्रेमियों तथा गन्दें देवताओं को अपना नंगा शरीर देखने दिया है तथा अपने साथ शारीरिक सम्बन्ध करने दिया है। तुमने अपने बच्चों को मारा है और उनका खून बहाया है। वह उन असत्य देवताओं को तुम्हारी भेंट थीं।

Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

इसलिये मैं तुम्हारे सभी प्रेमियों को एक साथ इकट्ठा कर रहा हूँ। मैं उन सभी को लाऊँगा जिनसे तुमने प्रेम किया तथा जिन मनुष्यों से घृणा की। मैं सभी को एक साथ ले आऊँगा और उन्हें तुम्हें नग्न देखने दूँगा। वे तुम्हें पूरी तरह नग्न देखेंगे।

And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.

तब मैं तुम्हें दण्ड दूँगा। मैं तुम्हें किसी हत्यारिन और उस स्त्री की तरह दण्ड दूँगा जिसने व्यभिचार का पाप किया हो। तुम वैसे ही दण्डित होगी मानों कोई क्रोधित और ईष्यालु पति दण्ड दे रहा हो।

And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.

मैं उन सभी प्रेमियों को तुम्हें प्राप्त कर लेने दूँगा। वे तुम्हारे टीलों को नष्ट कर देंगे। वे तुम्हारे पूजा—स्थानों को जला डालेंगे। वे तुम्हारे वस्त्र फाड़ डालेंगे तथा तुम्हारे सुन्दर आभूषण ले लेंगे। वे तुम्हें वैसे वस्त्रहीन और नंगी छोड़े देंगे जैसी तुम तब थीं जब मैंने तुम्हें पाया था।

They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.

वे अपने साथ विशाल जन—समूह लाएंगे और तुमको मार डालने के लिये तुम्हारे ऊपर पत्थर फेकेंगे। तब अपनी तलवार से वे तुम्हें टुकड़े—टुकड़े कर डालेंगे।

And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.

वे तुम्हारा घर (मन्दिर) जला देंगे। वे तुम्हें इस तरह दण्ड देंगे कि सभी अन्य स्त्रियाँ देख सकें। मैं तुम्हारा वेश्या की तरह रहना बन्द कर दूँगा। मैं तुम्हें अपने प्रेमियों को धन देने से रोक दूँगा।

So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.

तब मैं क्रोधित और ईष्यालु होना छोड़ दूँगा। मैं शान्त हो जाऊँगा। मैं फिर कभी क्रोधित नहीं होऊँगा।

Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.

ये सारी बातें क्यों होंगी क्योंकि तुमने वह याद नहीं रखा कि तुम्हारे साथ बचपन में क्या घटित हुआ था। तुमने वे सभी बुरे पाप किये और मुझे क्रोधित किया। इसलिये उन बुरे पापों के लिये मुझे तुमको दण्ड देना पड़ा। किन्तु तुमने और भी अधिक भयंकर योजनाएँ बनाई।” मेरे स्वामी यहोवा ने ये बातें कहीं।

Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.

“तुम्हारे बारे में बात करने वाले सब लोगों के पास एक और बात भी कहने के लिये होगी। वे कहेंगे, ‘माँ की तरह ही पुत्री भी है।’

Thou art thy mother's daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.

तुम अपनी माँ की पुत्री हो। तुम अपने पति या बच्चों का ध्यान नहीं रखती हो। तुम ठीक अपनी बहन के समान हो। तुम दोनों ने अपने पतियों तथा बच्चों से घृणा की। तुम ठीक अपने माता—पिता की तरह हो। तुम्हारी माँ हित्ती थी और तुम्हारा पिता एमोरी था।

And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

तुम्हारी बड़ी बहन शोमरोन थी। वह तुम्हारे उत्तर में अपने पुत्रियों (नगरों) के साथ रहती थी और तुम्हारी छोटी बहन सदोम की थी। वह अपनी पुत्रियों (नगरों) के साथ तुम्हारे दक्षिण में रहती थी!

Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.

तुमने वे सभी भयंकर पाप किये जो उन्होंने किये। किन्तु तुमने वे काम भी किये जो उनसे भी बुरे थे!

As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.

मैं यहोवा और स्वामी हूँ। मैं सदा जीवित हूँ और अपनी जीवन की शपथ खाकर कहता हूँ कि तुम्हारी बहन सदोम और उसकी पुत्रियों ने कभी उतने बुरे काम नहीं किये जितने तुमने और तुम्हारी पुत्रियों ने किये।”

Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

परमेश्वर ने कहा, “तुम्हारी बहन सदोम और उसकी पुत्रियाँ घमण्डी थीं। उनके पास आवश्यकता से अधिक खाने को था और उनके पास बहुत अधिक समय था। वे दीन—असहाय लोगों की सहायता नहीं करती थीं।

And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

सदोम और उसकी पुत्रियाँ बहुत अधिक घमण्डी हो गई और मेरे सामने भयंकर पाप करने लगीं। जब मैंने उन्हें उन कामों को करते देखा तो मैंने दण्ड दिया।”

Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.

परमेश्वर ने कहा, “शोमरोन ने उन पापों का आधा किया जो तुमने किये। तुमने शोमरोन की अपेक्षा बहुत अधिक भयंकर पाप किये! तुमने अपनी बहनों की अपेक्षा अत्याधिक भयंकर पाप किये हैं! सदोम और शोमरोन की तुलना करने पर, वे तुमसे अच्छी लगती हैं।

Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.

इसलिए तुम्हें लज्जित होना चाहिए। तुमने अपनी बहनों की, तुलना में, अपने से अच्छी लगनेवाली बनाया है। तुमने भयंकर पाप किये हैं अत: तुम्हें लज्जित होना चाहिए।

When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:

परमेश्वर ने कहा, “मैंने सदोम और उसके चारों ओर के नगरों को नष्ट किया। मैंने शोमरोन और इसके चारों ओर के नगरों को नष्ट किया। यरूशलेम, मैं तुम्हें नष्ट करूँगा। किन्तु मैं उन नगरों को फिर से बनाऊँगा। यरूशलेम, मैं तुमको भी फिर से बनाऊँगा

That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.

मैं तुम्हें आराम दूँगा। तब तुम उन भयंकर पापों को याद करोगे जो तुमने किये तथा तुम लज्जित होगे।

When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.

इस प्रकार तुम और तुम्हारी बहनें फिर से बनाई जाएंगी। सदोम और उसके चारों ओर के नगर, शोमरोन और उसके चारों ओर के नगर तथा तुम और तुम्हारे चारों ओर के नगर फिर से बनाए जाएंगे।”

For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,

परमेश्वर ने कहा, “अतीत काल में तुम घमण्डी थीं और अपनी बहन सदोम की हँसी उड़ाती थीं। किन्तु तुम वैसा फिर नहीं कर सकोगी।

Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about.

तुमने यह दण्डित होने से पहले अपने पड़ोसियों द्वारा हँसी उड़ाना आरम्भ किये जाने के पहले, किया था। एदोम की पुत्रियाँ (नगर) तथा पलिश्ती अब तुम्हारी हँसी उड़ा रही हैं।

Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the LORD.

अब तुम्हें उन भयंकर पापों के लिये कष्ट उठाना पड़ेगा जो तुमने किये।” यहोवा ने ये बातें कहीं।

For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

मेरे स्वामी यहोवा ने ये सब चीजें कहीं, “तुमने अपने विवाह की प्रतिज्ञा भंग की। तुमने हमारी वाचा का आदर नहीं किया।

Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.

किन्तु मुझे वह वाचा याद है जो उस समय की गई थी जब तुम बच्ची थीं। मैंने तुम्हारे साथ वाचा की थी जो सदैव चलती रहने वाली थी।

Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.

मैं तुम्हारी बहनों को तुम्हारे पास लाऊँगा और मैं उन्हें तुम्हारी पुत्रियाँ बनाऊँगा। यह हमारी वाचा में नहीं था, किन्तु मैं यह तुम्हारे लिये करुँगा। तब तुम उन भयंकर पापों को याद करोगी, जिन्हें तुमने किया और तुम लज्जित होगी।

And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD:

अत: मैं तुम्हारे साथ वाचा करूँगा, और तुम जानोगी कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.

मैं तुम्हारे प्रति अच्छा रहूँगा जिससे तुम मुझे याद करोगी और उन पापों के लिये लज्जित होगी जो तुमने किये। मैं तुम्हें शुद्ध करुँगा और तुम्हें फिर कभी लज्जित नहीं होना पड़ेगा।” मेरे स्वामी यहोवा ने ये बातें कहीं।
