Psalms 59

Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.

خدای من، مرا از دشمنانم برهان و از آنانی که به من حمله می‌کنند، محافظت فرما.

Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.

مرا از دست شریران رهایی ده و از چنگال مردمان خونریز برهان.

For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.

ببین چگونه برای کشتن من کمین کرده‌اند و بدون اینکه گناهی از من سر زده باشد علیه من همدست شده‌اند.

They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.

خداوندا، درحالی‌که من هیچ ضرری به آنها نرسانده‌ام و گناهی ندارم، برای قتل من نقشه کشیده‌اند. پس حال مرا ببین و به کمکم بشتاب.

Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.

ای خداوند متعال و ای خدای اسرائیل، ای خدای اسرائیل بیا و خودت ببین، بیا و این کافران را به سزای كارهایشان برسان و به هیچ‌یک از آنان رحم نکن.

They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

آنها هر شب برمی‌گردند و مانند سگ زوزه می‌کشند و در شهر می‌گردند.

Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?

فریاد می‌زنند و تهدید و توهین می‌کنند. زبانشان مانند شمشیر بُرنده است و فکر می‌کنند کسی صدای آنها را نمی‌شنوند.

But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.

امّا تو ای خداوند، به آنها می‌خندی و همهٔ کافران را مسخره می‌کنی.

Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.

ای خدا، من به قدرت تو اطمینان دارم، زیرا تو پناهگاه من هستی.

The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.

خدای من با محبّت پایدار خود پیشاپیش من خواهد رفت و مرا شاهد بر شکست دشمنانم خواهد گردانید.

Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.

ای خداوند که سپر ما هستی، آنها را یکباره از بین نبر، مبادا قوم من این درس عبرت را بزودی فراموش کنند، بلکه با قدرت خویش آنها را پراکنده و پریشان ساز.

For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.

کلمات آنها پُر از شرارت است و گناه از لبهای آنها جاری است. آنها را در غرور خودشان گرفتار کن، چون هرچه می‌گویند دروغ و دشنام است.

Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

آنها را در خشم خود کاملاً نابود کن، تا همه بدانند که خدای بنی‌اسرائیل فرمانروای سراسر جهان است.

And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

آنها هر شب برمی‌گردند و مانند سگ زوزه می‌کشند و در شهر می‌گردند.

Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.

برای سیر کردن شکم خود در هر جا پرسه می‌زنند و اگر چیزی به دست نیاورند، خُرناس می‌کشند.

But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

امّا من قدرت تو را خواهم سرایید، و بامدادان با صدای بلند، محبّت پایدار تو را خواهم سرایید. زیرا سرپناه من و در هنگام سختی‌ها، پناهگاه من بوده‌ای.

Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.

ای قدرت من، من برای تو سرود شکرگزاری خواهم خواند. زیرا تو ای خدا، سنگر من هستی و خدایی که محبّت پایدارت را به من نشان داده‌ای.
