Psalms 146

Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

خداوند را سپاس باد! ای جان من، خداوند را ستایش کن!

While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

تا زمانی که زنده هستم، خداوند را ستایش خواهم نمود، تا وقتی جان در بدن دارم برای خدای خود سرود خواهم خواند.

Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

به رهبران انسانی توکّل نکنید، هیچ انسانی نمی‌‌تواند نجات بدهد.

His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

وقتی بمیرند، به خاک برمی‌گردند و در همان روز تمام نقشه‏هایی که کشیده بودند از بین می‌رود.

Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

خوشا به حال کسی‌که خدای یعقوب مددکار اوست و بر خداوند، خدای خود توکّل می‌کند،

Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:

که آسمان و زمین و دریاها و هرآنچه در آنهاست آفرید، خدایی که پیوسته به وعده‌های خود وفادار است.

Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:

او به فریاد مظلومان می‌رسد و گرسنگان را سیر می‌کند و اسیران را آزاد می‌سازد.

The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:

خداوند کورها را بینا می‌سازد، افتادگان را برمی‌خیزاند، مردم نیکوکار را دوست می‌دارد.

The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

خداوند غریبان را محافظت می‌کند، و از بیوه زنان و یتیمان مراقبت می‌نماید. امّا شریران را هلاک می‌سازد.

The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.

سلطنت خداوند جاودان است، و خدای تو ای صهیون، تا ابد فرمانروایی می‌کند. خداوند را سپاس باد!
