II Chronicles 15

And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

И Божият Дух беше на Азария, сина на Одид.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

И той излезе да посрещне Аса и му каза: Чуйте ме, Аса и целия Юда и Вениамин! ГОСПОД е с вас, когато вие сте с Него. Ако Го търсите, ще Го намерите, но ако Го оставите, и Той ще ви остави.

Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

Израил беше дълго време без истински Бог, без свещеник, който да поучава, и без закон;

But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

но в бедствието си се обърнаха към ГОСПОДА, Израилевия Бог, и Го потърсиха, и Го намериха.

And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.

В онези времена нямаше мир за излизащия и за влизащия, а големи смутове тежаха върху всичките жители на земите.

And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.

Народ се сблъскваше с народ и град с град, защото Бог ги смущаваше с всякакво бедствие.

Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

Но вие бъдете силни и нека ръцете ви не отслабват, защото имате награда за делото си!

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.

И когато Аса чу тези думи и пророчеството на пророк Одид, той се укрепи; и премахна гнусотиите от цялата юдова и вениаминова земя и от градовете, които бе превзел от хълмистата земя на Ефрем, и поднови ГОСПОДНИЯ олтар, който беше пред предверната зала на ГОСПОДА.

And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.

И събра целия Юда и Вениамин, и пришълците от Ефрем, Манасия и Симеон, които живееха между тях — защото мнозина от Израил прибягваха при него, като виждаха, че ГОСПОД, неговият Бог, беше с него.

So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.

Те се събраха в Ерусалим в третия месец, в петнадесетата година от царуването на Аса.

And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.

И в онзи ден принесоха жертви на ГОСПОДА от плячката, която бяха донесли — седемстотин говеда и седем хиляди овце.

And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

И встъпиха в завета да търсят ГОСПОДА, Бога на бащите си, с цялото си сърце и с цялата си душа,

That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

а всеки, който не би потърсил ГОСПОДА, Израилевия Бог, да се убива — от малък до голям, от мъж до жена.

And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.

И се заклеха на ГОСПОДА със силен глас, с възгласи, с тръби и с рогове.

And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.

И целият Юда се зарадва заради клетвата — защото се заклеха с цялото си сърце и потърсиха ГОСПОДА с цялата си воля, и Го намериха. И ГОСПОД им даде покой отвсякъде.

And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

Той отхвърли и Мааха, майката на цар Аса, от положението на царица, понеже тя беше направила идол на Ашера. Аса съсече нейния идол и го стри, и го изгори при потока Кедрон.

But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.

Но високите места не се премахнаха от Израил; обаче сърцето на Аса беше неразделено през всичките му дни.

And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.

И той донесе в Божия дом вещите, посветени от баща му, и вещите, посветени от самия него — сребро и злато, и съдове.

And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.

И до тридесет и петата година от царуването на Аса нямаше война.
