II Chronicles 16

In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

В тридесет и шестата година от царуването на Аса израилевият цар Вааса се изкачи против Юда и построи Рама, за да не остави никого да излиза или да влиза при юдовия цар Аса.

Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Ben–hadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

Тогава Аса извади сребро и злато от съкровищата на ГОСПОДНИЯ дом и на царската къща и изпрати до арамейския цар Венадад, който живееше в Дамаск, да кажат:

There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.

Нека има договор между мен и теб, между моя баща и твоя баща. Ето, изпращам ти сребро и злато; иди и развали договора си с израилевия цар Вааса, за да се оттегли от мен!

And Ben–hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel–maim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.

И Венадад послуша цар Аса и изпрати военачалниците си срещу израилевите градове, и те нападнаха Иион, Дан, Авел-Маим и всичките житници на нефталимовите градове.

And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease.

А когато Вааса чу това, спря да строи Рама и преустанови работата си.

Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.

Тогава цар Аса взе целия Юда и отнесоха камъните и дървения материал на Рама, с които Вааса беше градил. И с тях той построи Гава и Масфа.

And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.

А в това време гледачът Ананий дойде при юдовия цар Аса и му каза: Понеже ти се упова на арамейския цар, а не се упова на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, затова войската на арамейския цар се изплъзна от ръката ти.

Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.

Етиопците и ливийците не бяха ли огромна войска, с много колесници и конници? Но понеже ти се упова на ГОСПОДА, Той ги предаде в ръката ти.

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Защото очите на ГОСПОДА тичат по целия свят, за да се показва силен към онези, чиито сърца са неразделени към Него. В това си постъпил безумно, защото отсега нататък ще имаш войни.

Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.

А Аса се ядоса на гледача и го хвърли в затвора, защото му се разгневи за това нещо. И по това време Аса притесни и някои от народа.

And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

И ето, делата на Аса, първите и последните, ето, записани са в Книгата на юдовите и израилевите царе.

And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.

А в тридесет и деветата година от царуването си Аса се разболя в краката и болестта му стана много тежка, но и в болестта си той не потърси ГОСПОДА, а лекарите.

And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.

И Аса легна при бащите си и умря в четиридесет и първата година от царуването си.

And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries' art: and they made a very great burning for him.

И го погребаха в неговия гроб, който си беше изсякъл в Давидовия град, и го положиха на легло пълно с аромати и благоухания, смесени според изкуството на мироварец; и изгориха за него много благоухания.
