I Timothy 4

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

А Духът изрично казва, че в по-късните времена някои ще отстъпят от вярата и ще слушат измамни духове и демонични учения

Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

чрез лицемерието на онези, които говорят лъжа, чиято съвест е прегоряла,

Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

които забраняват жененето и заповядват въздържане от ястия, които Бог създаде, за да се приемат с благодарение от онези, които вярват и познават истината.

For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

Защото всичко създадено от Бога е добро и нищо не е за отхвърляне, ако се приема с благодарение,

For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

понеже се освещава чрез Божието слово и молитва.

If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

В това като съветваш братята, ще бъдеш добър служител на Иисус Христос, хранен с думите на вярата и доброто учение, което си последвал.

But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

А нечистите и бабешките басни отхвърляй и обучавай себе си в благочестие.

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Защото телесното упражнение е полезно за малко, а благочестието е полезно за всичко, тъй като има обещанието и за сегашния, и за бъдещия живот.

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

Това слово е вярно и заслужава пълно приемане,

For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

понеже за това се трудим и търпим укори – защото се надяваме на живия Бог, който е Спасител на всички хора, а най-вече на вярващите.

These things command and teach.

Това заръчвай и учи.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Никой да не презира твоята младост; но ти бъди на вярващите пример в слово, в поведение, в любов, във вяра, в чистота.

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

Докато дойда, обърни внимание на прочитането, на увещаването и на поучаването.

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

Не пренебрегвай дарбата, която имаш, която ти се даде чрез пророчество с полагането на ръце от старейшинството.

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

Върху това размишлявай, на това се предавай, за да стане явен на всички твоят напредък.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Внимавай на себе си и на учението и постоянствай в това, защото, като правиш това, ще спасиш и себе си, и тези, които те слушат.
