I Samuel 30

And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;

А когато на третия ден Давид и мъжете му дойдоха в Сиклаг, амаличаните бяха нападнали южната земя и Сиклаг. Бяха опустошили Сиклаг и го бяха изгорили с огън,

And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.

и бяха отвели в плен жените и всички, които бяха там, от малък до голям. Не бяха убили никого, но ги бяха откарали и си бяха отишли по пътя.

So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.

И когато Давид и мъжете му дойдоха до града, ето, той беше изгорен с огън и жените им и синовете им, и дъщерите им бяха отведени в плен.

Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.

Тогава Давид и народът, който беше с него, издигнаха гласовете си и плакаха, докато в тях не остана вече сила да плачат.

And David's two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.

И двете жени на Давид бяха отведени в плен, езраелката Ахиноама и Авигея, жената на кармилеца Навал.

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

И Давид беше в голямо притеснение, защото народът говореше да го убие с камъни, понеже целият народ беше огорчен духом, всеки за синовете си и дъщерите си. Но Давид се укрепи в ГОСПОДА, своя Бог.

And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.

И Давид каза на свещеника Авиатар, сина на Ахимелех: Моля те, донеси ми ефода. И Авиатар донесе ефода на Давид.

And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

И Давид се допита до ГОСПОДА и каза: Да преследвам ли тази дружина? Ще ги настигна ли? А Той му отговори: Преследвай ги, защото непременно ще ги настигнеш и непременно ще избавиш всичко.

So David went, he and the six hundred men that were with him, and came to the brook Besor, where those that were left behind stayed.

Тогава Давид отиде, той и шестстотинте мъже, които бяха с него, и дойдоха до потока Восор, където оставиха изоставащите.

But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor.

А Давид продължи да преследва, той и четиристотин мъже, понеже двеста мъже, които бяха прекалено уморени, за да преминат потока Восор, останаха.

And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water;

И намериха един египтянин на полето и го доведоха при Давид; и му дадоха хляб и той яде, и му дадоха да пие вода,

And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights.

и му дадоха парче от калъп смокини и два калъпа сушено грозде. И той яде и духът му се върна в него — защото три дни и три нощи не беше ял хляб и не беше пил вода.

And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick.

И Давид му каза: Чий си ти и откъде си? И той каза: Аз съм младеж от Египет, слуга на един амаличанин; и господарят ми ме остави, понеже преди три дни се разболях.

We made an invasion upon the south of the Cherethites, and upon the coast which belongeth to Judah, and upon the south of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.

Ние нападнахме южната земя на херетците и тази, която принадлежи на Юда, и южната земя на Халев и изгорихме Сиклаг с огън.

And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring thee down to this company.

Тогава Давид му каза: Ще ме заведеш ли при тази дружина? А той му каза: Закълни ми се в Бога, че няма да ме убиеш и няма да ме предадеш в ръцете на господаря ми, и ще те заведа при тази дружина.

And when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.

И го заведе и ето, те бяха пръснати по лицето на цялата земя, като ядяха и пиеха, и танцуваха поради цялата голяма плячка, която бяха взели от земята на филистимците и от земята на Юда.

And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled.

И Давид ги разби от полумрака до вечерта на следващия ден; и нито един от тях не избяга, освен четиристотин младежи, които се качиха на камили и побягнаха.

And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives.

Така Давид избави всичко, което бяха взели амаличаните; Давид избави и двете си жени.

And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all.

И нищо не им липсваше, от малко до голямо, до синове и дъщери, и от плячката до всичко, което им бяха взели: Давид върна всичко.

And David took all the flocks and the herds, which they drave before those other cattle, and said, This is David's spoil.

И Давид взе всичкия дребен и едър добитък; и го караха пред другия добитък и казваха: Това е Давидовата плячка.

And David came to the two hundred men, which were so faint that they could not follow David, whom they had made also to abide at the brook Besor: and they went forth to meet David, and to meet the people that were with him: and when David came near to the people, he saluted them.

А Давид дойде при двестате мъже, които бяха прекалено уморени, за да следват Давид, и които бяха оставени при потока Восор. И те излязоха да посрещнат Давид и да посрещнат народа, който беше с него, и Давид се приближи при хората и ги поздрави.

Then answered all the wicked men and men of Belial, of those that went with David, and said, Because they went not with us, we will not give them ought of the spoil that we have recovered, save to every man his wife and his children, that they may lead them away, and depart.

Тогава всичките зли и негодни мъже от онези, които отидоха с Давид, заговориха и казаха: Понеже те не дойдоха с нас, няма да им дадем нищо от плячката, която избавихме, освен на всеки жена му и децата му, да ги отведат и да си отидат!

Then said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with that which the LORD hath given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered the company that came against us into our hand.

Но Давид каза: Не постъпвайте така, братя мои, с това, което ни даде ГОСПОД, който ни запази и предаде в ръката ни дружината, която дойде срещу нас.

For who will hearken unto you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.

И кой ще ви послуша в това нещо? Защото какъвто е делът на слизащия в боя, такъв ще бъде и делът на седящия при вещите; заедно ще делят.

And it was so from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel unto this day.

И така ставаше от онзи ден нататък; той направи това наредба и правило за Израил, както е и до днес.

And when David came to Ziklag, he sent of the spoil unto the elders of Judah, even to his friends, saying, Behold a present for you of the spoil of the enemies of the LORD;

И Давид дойде в Сиклаг и изпрати от плячката на старейшините на Юда, на приятелите си, и каза: Ето ви подарък от плячката на ГОСПОДНИТЕ врагове.

To them which were in Beth–el, and to them which were in south Ramoth, and to them which were in Jattir,

Изпрати на тези във Ветил и на тези в Рамот на юг, и на тези в Ятир,

And to them which were in Aroer, and to them which were in Siphmoth, and to them which were in Eshtemoa,

и на тези в Ароир, и на тези в Сифмот, и на тези в Естемо,

And to them which were in Rachal, and to them which were in the cities of the Jerahmeelites, and to them which were in the cities of the Kenites,

и на тези в Рахал, и на тези в градовете на ерамеилците, и на тези в градовете на кенейците,

And to them which were in Hormah, and to them which were in Chor–ashan, and to them which were in Athach,

и на тези в Хорма, и на тези в Бор-Асан, и на тези в Атах,

And to them which were in Hebron, and to all the places where David himself and his men were wont to haunt.

и на тези в Хеврон, и на всичките места, където Давид беше обикалял с мъжете си.
