Psalms 58

न्यायाधीशों, तुम पक्षपात रहित नहीं रहे। तुम लोगों का न्याय निज निर्णयों में निष्पक्ष नहीं करते हो।

Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

नहीं, तुम तो केवल बुरी बातें ही सोचते हो। इस देश में तुम हिंसापुर्ण अपराध करते हो।

Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

वे दुष्ट लोग जैसे ही पैदा होते हैं, बुरे कामों को करने लग जाते हैं। वे पैदा होते ही झूठ बोलने लग जाते हैं।

The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

वे उस भयानक साँप और नाग जैसे होते हैं जो सुन नहीं सकता। वे दुष्ट जन भी अपने कान सत्य से मूंद लेते हैं।

Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;

बुरे लोगवैसे ही होते हैं जैसे सपेरों के गीतों को या उनके संगीतों को काला नाग नहीं सुन सकता।

Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

हे यहोवा! वे लोग ऐसे होते हैं जैसे सिंह। इसलिए हे यहोवा, उनके दाँत तोड़।

Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.

जैसे बहता जल विलुप्त हो जाता है, वैसे ही वे लोग लुप्त हो जायें। और जैसे राह की उगी दूब कुचल जाती है, वैसे वे भी कुचल जायें।

Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

वे घोंघे के समान हो जो चलने में गल जाते। वे उस शिशु से हो जो मरा ही पैदा हुआ, जिसने दिन का प्रकाश कभी नहीं देखा।

As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.

वे उस बाड़ के काँटों की तरह शीघ्र ही नष्ट हो, जो आग पर चढ़ी हाँड़ी गर्माने के लिए शीघ्र जल जाते हैं।

Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.

जब सज्जन उन लोगों को दण्ड पाते देखता है जिन्होंने उसके साथ बुर किया है, वह हर्षित होता है। वह अपना पाँव उन दुष्टों के खून में धोयेगा।

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

जब ऐसा होता है, तो लोग कहने लगते है, “सज्जनों को उनका फल निश्चय मिलता है। सचमुच परमेश्वर जगत का न्यायकर्ता है!”

So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
