Psalms 143

Jehova! höre mein Gebet, nimm zu Ohren mein Flehen; erhöre mich in deiner Treue, in deiner Gerechtigkeit!

Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.

Und gehe nicht ins Gericht mit deinem Knechte! denn vor dir ist kein Lebendiger gerecht.

And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

Denn der Feind verfolgt meine Seele, zertritt zur Erde mein Leben, macht mich wohnen in Finsternissen gleich den Toten der Urzeit.

For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

Und mein Geist ermattet in mir, mein Herz ist betäubt in meinem Innern.

Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

Ich gedenke der Tage der Vorzeit, überlege all dein Tun; ich sinne über das Werk deiner Hände.

I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

Zu dir breite ich meine Hände aus; gleich einem lechzenden Lande lechzt meine Seele nach dir. (Sela.)

I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

Eilends erhöre mich, Jehova! es verschmachtet mein Geist. Verbirg dein Angesicht nicht vor mir! sonst werde ich denen gleich sein, die zur Grube hinabfahren.

Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

Laß mich früh hören deine Güte, denn auf dich vertraue ich; tue mir kund den Weg, den ich wandeln soll, denn zu dir erhebe ich meine Seele!

Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

Errette mich, Jehova, von meinen Feinden! zu dir nehme ich meine Zuflucht.

Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

Lehre mich tun dein Wohlgefallen! denn du bist mein Gott; dein guter Geist leite mich in ebenem Lande!

Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

Um deines Namens willen, Jehova, belebe mich; in deiner Gerechtigkeit führe meine Seele aus der Bedrängnis!

Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

Und in deiner Güte vertilge meine Feinde, und alle Bedränger meiner Seele bringe um! denn ich bin dein Knecht.

And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
