II Thessalonians 3

دیگر اینکه، ای دوستان، برای ما دعا كنید تا پیام خداوند نیز به سرعت منتشر و با احترام پذیرفته گردد، همان‌طور که در میان شما شد.

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

و دعا كنید كه خدا ما را از دست افراد بداخلاق و بدكار نجات بخشد؛ زیرا همهٔ مردم به آن پیام ایمان ندارند.

And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

امّا خداوند قابل اعتماد است. او شما را تقویت خواهد فرمود و از آن شریر حفظ خواهد كرد.

But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

ما، در خداوند به شما اطمینان كامل داریم كه دستورهای ما را به عمل می‌آورید و همچنان به عمل خواهید آورد.

And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

خداوند دلهای شما را به سوی محبّت خدا و بردباری مسیح هدایت فرماید.

And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

ای دوستان، ما به نام عیسی مسیح خداوند به شما فرمان می‌دهیم كه از هر ایمانداری كه تنبلی می‌کند و مطابق تعالیمی كه ما داده‌ایم رفتار نمی‌کند، دوری جویید.

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

زیرا شما خوب می‌دانید برای اینکه از ما سرمشق بگیرید چه باید بكنید. ما در میان شما بیكار نبودیم،

For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

نان هیچ‌کس را مفت نخوردیم، بلكه شب و روز برای امرار معاش خود كار كردیم و زحمت كشیدیم تا به هیچ‌کس از شما تحمیل نشویم.

Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

علّتش این نبود كه استحقاق آن را نداشتیم؛ بلكه می‌خواستیم سرمشقی به شما بدهیم كه از آن پیروی كنید.

Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

حتّی هنگامی‌که پیش شما بودیم دستور دادیم هرکس که نمی‌خواهد كار كند، حقّ غذا خوردن هم ندارد.

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

ما می‌شنویم كه افرادی در میان شما هستند كه تنبلی پیشه کرده‌اند و به عوض اینکه خود كار كنند، در كار دیگران فضولی می‌کنند.

For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

به نام عیسی مسیح خداوند چنین اشخاص را نصیحت می‌کنم و به آنها فرمان می‌دهم كه در سكوت به كار بپردازند تا نانی به دست آورند.

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

امّا شما ای دوستان، از نیكی كردن خسته نشوید.

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

اگر كسی در آنجا باشد كه از آنچه در این نامه نوشتیم اطاعت نمی‌کند، مراقب او باشید و مطلقاً با او رفت و آمد نكنید تا شرمنده شود.

And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

او را دشمن نشمارید، بلكه مانند یک ایماندار به او اخطار كنید.

Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

خود خداوند كه سرچشمهٔ آرامش است، همواره و در هر مورد به شما آرامش عطا فرماید و با همهٔ شما باشد.

Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

من، پولس، با خط خود درود می‌فرستم. این امضاء، هر نامه‌ای را كه از طرف من باشد تصدیق می‌کند و این است دست خط من.

The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.

فیض خداوند ما عیسی مسیح با همهٔ شما باد.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. The second epistle to the Thessalonians was written from Athens.
