Ezekiel 22

رب کا کلام مجھ پر نازل ہوا،

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

”اے آدم زاد، کیا تُو یروشلم کی عدالت کرنے کے لئے تیار ہے؟ کیا تُو اِس قاتل شہر پر فیصلہ کرنے کے لئے مستعد ہے؟ پھر اُس پر اُس کی مکروہ حرکتیں ظاہر کر۔

Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.

اُسے بتا، ’رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اے یروشلم بیٹی، تیرا انجام قریب ہی ہے، اور یہ تیرا اپنا قصور ہے۔ کیونکہ تُو نے اپنے درمیان معصوموں کا خون بہایا اور اپنے لئے بُت بنا کر اپنے آپ کو ناپاک کر دیا ہے۔

Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.

اپنی خوں ریزی سے تُو مجرم بن گئی ہے، اپنی بُت پرستی سے ناپاک ہو گئی ہے۔ تُو خود اپنی عدالت کا دن قریب لائی ہے۔ اِسی وجہ سے تیرا انجام قریب آ گیا ہے، اِسی لئے مَیں تجھے دیگر اقوام کی لعن طعن اور تمام ممالک کے مذاق کا نشانہ بنا دوں گا۔

Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.

سب تجھ پر ٹھٹھا ماریں گے، خواہ وہ قریب ہوں یا دُور۔ تیرے نام پر داغ لگ گیا ہے، تجھ میں فساد حد سے زیادہ بڑھ گیا ہے۔

Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.

اسرائیل کا جو بھی بزرگ تجھ میں رہتا ہے وہ اپنی پوری طاقت سے خون بہانے کی کوشش کرتا ہے۔

Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.

تیرے باشندے اپنے ماں باپ کو حقیر جانتے ہیں۔ وہ پردیسی پر سختی کر کے یتیموں اور بیواؤں پر ظلم کرتے ہیں۔

In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.

جو مجھے مُقدّس ہے اُسے تُو پاؤں تلے کچل دیتی ہے۔ تُو میرے سبت کے دنوں کی بےحرمتی بھی کرتی ہے۔

Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.

تجھ میں ایسے تہمت لگانے والے ہیں جو خوں ریزی پر تُلے ہوئے ہیں۔ تیرے باشندے پہاڑوں کی ناجائز قربان گاہوں کے پاس قربانیاں کھاتے اور تیرے درمیان شرم ناک حرکتیں کرتے ہیں۔

In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.

بیٹا ماں سے ہم بستر ہو کر باپ کی بےحرمتی کرتا ہے، شوہر ماہواری کے دوران بیوی سے صحبت کر کے اُس سے زیادتی کرتا ہے۔

In thee have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.

ایک اپنے پڑوسی کی بیوی سے زنا کرتا ہے جبکہ دوسرا اپنی بہو کی بےحرمتی اور تیسرا اپنی سگی بہن کی عصمت دری کرتا ہے۔

And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.

تجھ میں ایسے لوگ ہیں جو رشوت کے عوض قتل کرتے ہیں۔ سود قابلِ قبول ہے، اور لوگ ایک دوسرے پر ظلم کر کے ناجائز نفع کماتے ہیں۔ رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اے یروشلم، تُو مجھے سراسر بھول گئی ہے!

In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.

تیرا ناجائز نفع اور تیرے بیچ میں خوں ریزی دیکھ کر مَیں غصے میں تالی بجاتا ہوں۔

Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.

سوچ لے! جس دن مَیں تجھ سے نپٹوں گا تو کیا تیرا حوصلہ قائم اور تیرے ہاتھ مضبوط رہیں گے؟ یہ میرا، رب کا فرمان ہے، اور مَیں یہ کروں گا بھی۔

Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.

مَیں تجھے دیگر اقوام و ممالک میں منتشر کر کے تیری ناپاکی دُور کروں گا۔

And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.

پھر جب دیگر قوموں کے دیکھتے دیکھتے تیری بےحرمتی ہو جائے گی تب تُو جان لے گی کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں‘۔“

And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

رب مزید مجھ سے ہم کلام ہوا،

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

”اے آدم زاد، اسرائیلی قوم میرے نزدیک اُس مَیل کی مانند بن گئی ہے جو چاندی کو خالص کرنے کے بعد بھٹی میں باقی رہ جاتا ہے۔ سب کے سب اُس تانبے، ٹین، لوہے اور سیسے کی مانند ہیں جو بھٹی میں رہ جاتا ہے۔ وہ کچرا ہی ہیں۔

Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.

چنانچہ رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ چونکہ تم بھٹی میں بچا ہوا مَیل ہو اِس لئے مَیں تمہیں یروشلم میں اکٹھا کر کے

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.

بھٹی میں پھینک دوں گا۔ جس طرح چاندی، تانبے، لوہے، سیسے اور ٹین کی آمیزش کو تپتی بھٹی میں پھینکا جاتا ہے تاکہ پگھل جائے اُسی طرح مَیں تمہیں غصے میں اکٹھا کروں گا اور بھٹی میں پھینک کر پگھلا دوں گا۔

As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.

مَیں تمہیں جمع کر کے آگ میں پھینک دوں گا اور بڑے غصے سے ہَوا دے کر تمہیں پگھلا دوں گا۔

Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.

جس طرح چاندی بھٹی میں پگھل جاتی ہے اُسی طرح تم یروشلم میں پگھل جاؤ گے۔ تب تم جان لو گے کہ مَیں رب نے اپنا غضب تم پر نازل کیا ہے۔“

As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

رب مجھ سے ہم کلام ہوا،

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

”اے آدم زاد، ملکِ اسرائیل کو بتا، ’غضب کے دن تجھ پر مینہ نہیں برسے گا بلکہ تُو بارش سے محروم رہے گا۔‘

Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

ملک کے بیچ میں سازش کرنے والے راہنما شیرببر کی مانند ہیں جو دہاڑتے دہاڑتے اپنا شکار پھاڑ لیتے ہیں۔ وہ لوگوں کو ہڑپ کر کے اُن کے خزانے اور قیمتی چیزیں چھین لیتے اور ملک کے درمیان ہی متعدد عورتوں کو بیوائیں بنا دیتے ہیں۔

There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.

ملک کے امام میری شریعت سے زیادتی کر کے اُن چیزوں کی بےحرمتی کرتے ہیں جو مجھے مُقدّس ہیں۔ نہ وہ مُقدّس اور عام چیزوں میں امتیاز کرتے، نہ پاک اور ناپاک اشیا کا فرق سکھاتے ہیں۔ نیز، وہ میرے سبت کے دن اپنی آنکھوں کو بند رکھتے ہیں تاکہ اُس کی بےحرمتی نظر نہ آئے۔ یوں اُن کے درمیان ہی میری بےحرمتی کی جاتی ہے۔

Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

ملک کے درمیان کے بزرگ بھیڑیوں کی مانند ہیں جو اپنے شکار کو پھاڑ پھاڑ کر خون بہاتے اور لوگوں کو موت کے گھاٹ اُتارتے ہیں تاکہ ناروا نفع کمائیں۔

Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

ملک کے نبی فریب دہ رویائیں اور جھوٹے پیغامات سنا کر لوگوں کے بُرے کاموں پر سفیدی پھیر دیتے ہیں تاکہ اُن کی غلطیاں نظر نہ آئیں۔ وہ کہتے ہیں، ’رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے‘ حالانکہ رب نے اُن پر کچھ نازل نہیں کیا ہوتا۔

And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.

ملک کے عام لوگ بھی ایک دوسرے کا استحصال کرتے ہیں۔ وہ ڈکیت بن کر غریبوں اور ضرورت مندوں پر ظلم کرتے اور پردیسیوں سے بدسلوکی کر کے اُن کا حق مارتے ہیں۔

The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

اسرائیل میں مَیں ایسے آدمی کی تلاش میں رہا جو ملک کے لئے حفاظتی چاردیواری تعمیر کرے، جو میرے حضور آ کر دیوار کے رخنے میں کھڑا ہو جائے تاکہ مَیں ملک کو تباہ نہ کروں۔ لیکن مجھے ایک بھی نہ ملا جو اِس قابل ہو۔

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

چنانچہ مَیں اپنا غضب اُن پر نازل کروں گا اور اُنہیں اپنے سخت قہر سے بھسم کروں گا۔ تب اُن کے غلط کاموں کا نتیجہ اُن کے اپنے سروں پر آئے گا۔ یہ رب قادرِ مطلق کا فرمان ہے۔“

Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.
