John 14

Não se turbe o vosso coração; credes em Deus, crede também em mim.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Na casa de meu Pai há muitas moradas; se não assim fosse, eu vos teria dito. Eu vou para vos preparar um lugar.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

E, se eu for e vos preparar um lugar, virei outra vez, e vos receberei para mim mesmo, para que onde eu estiver estejais vós também.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

E vós sabeis para onde eu vou, e conheceis o caminho.

And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Disse-lhe Tomé: Senhor, não sabemos para onde vais. Como podemos conhecer o caminho?

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Eu sou o caminho, a verdade, e a vida; ninguém vem ao Pai, senão por mim.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Se vós me tivésseis conhecido, também conheceríeis a meu Pai; e desde agora já o conheceis, e o tendes visto.

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Disse-lhe Felipe: Senhor, mostra-nos o Pai, e isso nos basta.

Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Há tanto tempo estou convosco, e ainda não me conheces, Felipe? Quem me viu a mim, viu o Pai. Como dizes tu: Mostra-nos o Pai?

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Não crês que eu estou no Pai, e que o Pai está em mim? As palavras que eu vos digo, não as digo por mim mesmo; mas o Pai, que permanece em mim, é quem faz as suas obras.

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Crede-me que eu estou no Pai, e que o Pai está em mim; crede ao menos por causa das mesmas obras.

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Em verdade, em verdade vos digo: Aquele que crê em mim, esse também fará as obras que eu faço; e fará obras ainda maiores do que estas, porque eu vou para meu Pai.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

E tudo quanto pedirdes em meu nome, eu o farei, para que o Pai seja glorificado no Filho.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Se me pedirdes alguma coisa em meu nome, eu o farei.

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Se me amais, guardareis os meus mandamentos,

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

e eu rogarei ao Pai, e ele vos dará outro Consolador, para que fique convosco para sempre,

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

a saber, o Espírito da verdade, o qual o mundo não pode receber, porque não o vê nem o conhece; mas vós o conheceis, porque ele habita convosco, e estará em vós.

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Não vos deixarei órfãos; voltarei para vós.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Ainda um pouco, e o mundo não me verá mais, mas vós me vereis; porque eu vivo, vós também vivereis.

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

Naquele dia conhecereis que estou em meu Pai, e vós em mim, e eu em vós.

At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Aquele que tem os meus mandamentos e os guarda, esse é o que me ama; e aquele que me ama será amado de meu Pai, e eu o amarei, e me manifestarei a ele.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Perguntou-lhe Judas (não o Iscariotes): Como é, Senhor, que vais manifestar-te a nós, e não ao mundo?

Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Se alguém me ama, guardará a minha palavra; e meu Pai o amará, e viremos para ele, e faremos nele morada.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Quem não me ama, não guarda as minhas palavras; ora, a palavra que ouvis não é minha, mas do Pai, que me enviou.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

Estas coisas vos tenho falado, estando ainda convosco.

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

Mas o Consolador, o Espírito Santo, a quem o Pai enviará em meu nome, esse vos ensinará todas as coisas, e vos fará lembrar de tudo quanto vos tenho dito.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Deixo convosco a paz, a minha paz vos dou; não vo-la dou como a dá o mundo. Não se turbe o vosso coração, nem se atemorize.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Ouvistes que eu vos disse: Vou e volto para junto de vós. Se me amásseis, alegrar-vos-íeis, por vos haver dito: eu vou para o Pai; porque o Pai é maior do que eu.

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Disse-vos agora, antes que aconteça, para que, quando acontecer, vós creiais.

And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

Já não falarei muito convosco, pois aí vem o príncipe deste mundo, e ele nada tem em mim.

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Mas para que o mundo saiba que amo o Pai; e assim como o Pai me ordenou, assim mesmo faço. Levantai-vos, vamo-nos daqui.

But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
