Psalms 47

47:1

O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

قورح کی اولاد کا زبور۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے۔ اے تمام قومو، تالی بجاؤ! خوشی کے نعرے لگا کر اللہ کی مدح سرائی کرو!

47:2

For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

کیونکہ رب تعالیٰ پُرجلال ہے، وہ پوری دنیا کا عظیم بادشاہ ہے۔

47:3

He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

اُس نے قوموں کو ہمارے تحت کر دیا، اُمّتوں کو ہمارے پاؤں تلے رکھ دیا۔

47:4

He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

اُس نے ہمارے لئے ہماری میراث کو چن لیا، اُسی کو جو اُس کے پیارے بندے یعقوب کے لئے فخر کا باعث تھا۔ (سِلاہ)

47:5

God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

اللہ نے صعود فرمایا تو ساتھ ساتھ خوشی کا نعرہ بلند ہوا، رب بلندی پر چڑھ گیا تو ساتھ ساتھ نرسنگا بجتا رہا۔

47:6

Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

مدح سرائی کرو، اللہ کی مدح سرائی کرو! مدح سرائی کرو، ہمارے بادشاہ کی مدح سرائی کرو!

47:7

For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

کیونکہ اللہ پوری دنیا کا بادشاہ ہے۔ حکمت کا گیت گا کر اُس کی ستائش کرو۔

47:8

God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

اللہ قوموں پر حکومت کرتا ہے، اللہ اپنے مُقدّس تخت پر بیٹھا ہے۔

47:9

The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

دیگر قوموں کے شرفا ابراہیم کے خدا کی قوم کے ساتھ جمع ہو گئے ہیں، کیونکہ وہ دنیا کے حکمرانوں کا مالک ہے۔ وہ نہایت ہی سربلند ہے۔
