Psalms 143

Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.

داؤد کا زبور۔ اے رب، میری دعا سن، میری التجاؤں پر دھیان دے۔ اپنی وفاداری اور راستی کی خاطر میری سن!

And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

اپنے خادم کو اپنی عدالت میں نہ لا، کیونکہ تیرے حضور کوئی بھی جاندار راست باز نہیں ٹھہر سکتا۔

For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.

کیونکہ دشمن نے میری جان کا پیچھا کر کے اُسے خاک میں کچل دیا ہے۔ اُس نے مجھے اُن لوگوں کی طرح تاریکی میں بسا دیا ہے جو بڑے عرصے سے مُردہ ہیں۔

Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

میرے اندر میری روح نڈھال ہے، میرے اندر میرا دل دہشت کے مارے بےحس و حرکت ہو گیا ہے۔

I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.

مَیں قدیم زمانے کے دن یاد کرتا اور تیرے کاموں پر غور و خوض کرتا ہوں۔ جو کچھ تیرے ہاتھوں نے کیا اُس میں مَیں محوِ خیال رہتا ہوں۔

I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

مَیں اپنے ہاتھ تیری طرف اُٹھاتا ہوں، میری جان خشک زمین کی طرح تیری پیاسی ہے۔ (سِلاہ)

Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

اے رب، میری سننے میں جلدی کر۔ میری جان تو ختم ہونے والی ہے۔ اپنا چہرہ مجھ سے چھپائے نہ رکھ، ورنہ مَیں گڑھے میں اُترنے والوں کی مانند ہو جاؤں گا۔

Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

صبح کے وقت مجھے اپنی شفقت کی خبر سنا، کیونکہ مَیں تجھ پر بھروسا رکھتا ہوں۔ مجھے وہ راہ دکھا جس پر مجھے جانا ہے، کیونکہ مَیں تیرا ہی آرزومند ہوں۔

Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

اے رب، مجھے میرے دشمنوں سے چھڑا، کیونکہ مَیں تجھ میں پناہ لیتا ہوں۔

Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

مجھے اپنی مرضی پوری کرنا سکھا، کیونکہ تُو میرا خدا ہے۔ تیرا نیک روح ہموار زمین پر میری راہنمائی کرے۔

Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

اے رب، اپنے نام کی خاطر میری جان کو تازہ دم کر۔ اپنی راستی سے میری جان کو مصیبت سے بچا۔

And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

اپنی شفقت سے میرے دشمنوں کو ہلاک کر۔ جو بھی مجھے تنگ کر رہے ہیں اُنہیں تباہ کر! کیونکہ مَیں تیرا خادم ہوں۔
