Psalms 76

In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.

Для дириґетна хору. На неґінах. Псалом Асафів. Пісня.

In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

Бог знаний у Юді, Його Ймення велике в ізраїлі!

There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

У Салимі намет Його, а мешкання Його на Сіоні,

Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

Він там поламав стріли луку, щита та меча, та війну! Села.

The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

Ти осяйний, потужніший за гори відвічні.

At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

Обдерто людей сильносердих, задрімали вони своїм сном, і не знайшли своїх рук усі мужі військові...

Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

Від сваріння Твого, Боже Яковів, оглушується колесниця та кінь:

Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

Ти Ти грізний, і хто перед обличчям Твоїм устоїть часу гніву Твого?...

When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

Як звіщаєш Ти суд із небес, то боїться й стихає земля,

Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

як встає Бог на суд, щоб спасти всіх покірних землі! Села.

Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

Бо й гнів людський Тебе вихваляє, решту ж гніву Ти поясом в'яжеш.

He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

Присягайте й виконуйте Господу, Богові вашому, усі, хто Його оточає, хай приносять дарунка Грізному: Він духа вельмож впокоряє, страшний Він для земних царів!
