Psalms 59

Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.

हे परमेश्वर, तू मुझको मेरे शत्रुओं से बचा ले। मेरी सहायता उनसे विजयी बनने में कर जो मेरे विरूद्ध में युद्ध करने आये हैं।

Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.

ऐसे उन लोगों से, तू मुझको बचा ले। तू उन हत्यारों से मुझको बचा ले जो बुरे कामों को करते रहते हैं।

For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.

देख! मेरी घात में बलवान लोग हैं। वे मुझे मार डालने की बाट जोह रहे हैं। इसलिए नहीं कि मैंने कोई पाप किया अथवा मुझसे कोई अपराध बन पड़ा है।

They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.

वे मेरे पीछे पड़े हैं, किन्तु मैंने कोई भी बुरा काम नहीं किया है। हे यहोवा, आ! तू स्वयं अपने आप देख ले!

Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.

हे परमेश्वर! इस्राएल के परमेश्वर! तू सर्वशक्ति शाली है। तू उठ और उन लोगों को दण्डित कर। उन विश्वासघातियों उन दुर्जनों पर किंचित भी दया मत दिखा।

They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

वे दुर्जन साँझ के होते ही नगर में घुस आते हैं। वे लोग गुरर्ते कुत्तों से नगर के बीच में घूमते रहते हैं।

Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?

तू उनकी धमकियों और अपमानों को सुन। वे ऐसी क्रूर बातें कहा करते हैं। वे इस बात की चिंता तक नहीं करते कि उनकी कौन सुनता है।

But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.

हे यहोवा, तू उनका उपहास करके उन सभी लोगों को मजाक बना दे।

Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.

हे परमेश्वर, तू मेरी शक्ति है। मैं तेरी बाट जोह रहा हूँ। हे परमेश्वर, तू ऊँचे पहाड़ों पर मेरा सुरक्षा स्थान है।

The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.

परमेश्वर, मुझसे प्रेम करता है, और वह जीतने में मेरा सहाय होगा। वह मेरे शत्रुओं को पराजित करने में मेरी सहायता करेगा।

Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.

हे परमेश्वर, बस उनको मत मार डाल। नहीं तो सम्भव है मेरे लोग भूल जायें। हे मेरे स्वमी और संरक्षक, तू अपनी शक्ति से उनको बिखेर दे और हरा दे।

For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.

वे बुरे लोग कोसते और झूठ बोलते रहते हैं। उन बुरी बातों का दण्ड उनको दे, जो उन्होंने कही हैं। उनको अपने अभिमान में फँसने दे।

Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

तू अपने क्रोध से उनको नष्ट कर। उन्हें पूरी तरह नष्ट कर! लोग तभी जानेंगे कि परमेश्वर, याकूब के लोगों का और वह सारे संसर का राजा है।

And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

फिर यदि वे लोग शाम को इधर—उधर घूमते गुरर्तें कुत्तों से नगर में आवें,

Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.

तो वे खाने को कोई वस्तु ढूँढते फिरेंगे, और खाने को कुछ भी नहीं पायेंगे और न ही सोने का कोई ठौर पायेंगे।

But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

किन्तु मैं तेरी प्रशंसा के गीत गाऊँगा। हर सुबह मैं तेरे प्रेम में आनन्दित होऊँगा। क्यों क्योंकि तू पर्वतों के ऊपर मेरा शरणस्थल है। मैं तेरे पास आ सकता हूँ, जब मुझे विपत्तियाँ घेरेंगी।

Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.

मैं अपने गीतों को तेरी प्रशंसा में गाऊँगा क्योंकि पर्वतों के ऊपर मेरा शरणस्थल है। तू परमेश्वर है, जो मुझको प्रेम करता है!
