Psalms 6

O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

خداوندا، نسبت به من خشمگین مباش و در غضب خود مرا تنبیه نکن.

Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.

خداوندا، افسرده دلم، بر من رحم فرما؛ بسیار ناتوانم، پس ای خداوند یاریم کن.

My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?

جان من بشدّت پریشان است. ای خداوند تا به کی صبر کنم؟

Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.

بیا ای خداوند و مرا نجات بده؛ مرا به به‌خاطر رحمت خود رهایی ده.

For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?

در دنیای مردگان یادی از تو نیست و کسی در آنجا تو را سپاس نمی‌گوید.

I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.

از ناله خسته شده‌ام. هر شب سیل اشک در رختخواب من جاری است.

Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.

به سختی می‌توانم ببینم؛ چشمانم ورم کرده‌اند زیرا از دست دشمنانم گریهٔ بسیار نموده‌ام.

Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.

ای بدکاران، از من دور شوید، زیرا خداوند صدای گریهٔ مرا شنیده است.

The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.

خداوند التماس مرا شنیده و دعای مرا مستجاب نموده است.

Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.

دشمنانم بشدّت شرمنده گردیده و با خجالت از پیشگاه خداوند رانده می‌شوند.
