Psalms 16

Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

(По слав. 15) Миктам на Давид. Запази ме, Боже, защото на Теб се уповавам!

O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;

Ти каза на ГОСПОДА, душо моя: Ти си мой Господ, вън от Теб няма добро за мен.

But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

В светиите на земята, в славните е цялото ми благоволение.

Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.

Скърбите на онези, които тичат след други богове, ще се умножат. Аз няма да принеса техните възлияния от кръв и имената им на устните си няма да приема.

The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

ГОСПОД е делът на наследството ми и чашата ми, Ти съхраняваш моя жребий.

The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

Делът ми падна на приятни места, да, имам прекрасно наследство!

I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

Ще благославям ГОСПОДА, който ме съветва. Дори и нощно време сърцето ми ме наставлява.

I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Винаги слагам ГОСПОДА пред себе си, понеже е отдясно ми, няма да се поклатя.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

Затова сърцето ми се радва и душата ми ликува, и плътта ми също ще почива в увереност,

For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

защото няма да оставиш душата ми в Шеол, нито ще позволиш Светия Твой да види изтление.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Ще ми изявиш пътя на живота, в Твоето присъствие има пълнота от радости, отдясно на Теб — веселия навеки.
