Psalms 50

Asaphin Psalmi. Herra, väkevä Jumala, puhuu, ja kutsuu maailman hamasta auringon koitosta niin laskemiseen asti.

The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

Zionista antaa Jumala täydellisen kirkkauden paistaa.

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

Meidän Jumalamme tulee, ja ei vaikene: kuluttavainen tuli käy hänen edellänsä, ja hänen ympärillänsä väkevä ilma.

Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

Hän kutsuu taivaat ylhäältä ja maan, tuomitaksensa kansaansa.

He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

Kootkaat minulle minun pyhäni, jotka liitostani enemmän pitävät kuin uhrista.

Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

Ja taivaat pitää hänen vanhurskauttansa ilmoittaman; sillä Jumala on tuomari, Sela!

And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

Kuule, kansani! minä tahdon puhua, ja sinun seassas, Israel, todistaa: minä Jumala olen sinun Jumalas,

Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.

Uhreistas en minä sinua nuhtele; sillä sinun polttouhris ovat alati minun edessäni.

I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.

En minä ota härkiä sinun huoneestas, enkä kauriita navetastas;

I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

Sillä kaikki metsän eläimet ovat minun, ja eläimet vuorilla tuhansin.

For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

Minä tunnen kaikki linnut vuorten päällä, ja metsän pedot ovat minun edessäni.

I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

Jos minä isoon, en minä sitä sano sinulle; sillä maan piiri on minun, ja kaikki mitä siinä on.

If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

Luuletkos minun syövän härjän lihaa? ja kauristen verta juovan?

Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

Uhraa Jumalalle kiitosuhri, ja maksa Ylimmäiselle lupaukses;

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

Ja avukses huuda minua hädässäs, niin minä tahdon auttaa sinua, ja sinun pitää kunnioittaman minua.

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Mutta jumalattomalle sanoo Jumala: miksi sinä ilmoitat minun säätyjäni? ja otat minun liittoni suulles?

But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

Ettäs kuritusta vihaat, ja heität minun sanani taakses.

Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.

Koskas varkaan näet, niin sinä juokset hänen kanssansa, ja pidät yhtä huorintekiäin kanssa.

When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.

Sinun suus sallit sinä pahaa puhua, ja kieles saattaa petosta matkaan.

Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.

Sinä istut ja puhut veljeäs vastaan, äitis poikaa sinä pilkkaat.

Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.

Näitä teet, ja minä olen vaiti; niin sinä luulet, että minä olen sinun kaltaises; mutta minä nuhtelen sinua ja asetan näitä silmäis eteen.

These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

Ymmärtäkäät siis näitä te, jotka Jumalan unhotatte; etten minä tempaisi joskus pois, ja ei olisi vapahtajaa.

Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

Joka kiitosta uhraa, se ylistää minua, ja siinä on se tie, että minä osoitan hänelle Jumalan autuuden.

Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
