Deuteronomy 8

Да внимавате да вършите целия закон, който днес ви заповядвам, за да живеете и да се умножавате, и да влезете и да завладеете земята, за която ГОСПОД се закле на бащите ви.

All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.

И да помниш целия път, по който ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, те води през тези четиридесет години в пустинята, за да те смири и да те изпита, за да познае какво има в сърцето ти — дали ще пазиш заповедите Му, или не.

And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

И Той те смири и те остави да гладуваш, и те храни с манна, която нито ти познаваше, нито бащите ти познаваха, за да ти покаже, че човек не живее само с хляб, а човек живее с всяко слово, което излиза от устата на ГОСПОДА.

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Облеклото ти не овехтя на теб и кракът ти не отече през тези четиридесет години.

Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.

И така, познай в сърцето си, че както човек възпитава* сина си, така и ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, възпитава* теб.

Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.

Затова пази заповедите на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, за да ходиш в пътищата Му и да се боиш от Него.

Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

Защото ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, те завежда в добра земя, в земя на водни потоци, на извори и езера, които извират в долини и планини;

For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;

земя на жито и ечемик, на лозя и смокини и нарове; земя на маслодайни маслини и мед;

A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey;

земя, където ще ядеш хляб без недоимък, в която няма да ти липсва нищо; земя, чиито камъни са желязо и от чиито хълмове ще копаеш мед.

A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.

И когато се нахраниш и се наситиш, да благословиш ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, за добрата земя, която ти е дал.

When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.

Внимавай да не забравиш ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, като не спазваш заповедите Му и правилата Му, и наредбите Му, които днес ти заповядвам;

Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:

да не би, когато се нахраниш и се наситиш, и си построиш добри къщи, и живееш в тях,

Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;

и когато се умножи едрия и дребния ти добитък и се умножат среброто ти и златото ти, и се умножи всичко, което имаш,

And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;

тогава да се надигне сърцето ти и да забравиш ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, който те изведе от египетската земя, от дома на робството;

Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

който те преведе през голямата и страшна пустиня, в която имаше отровни змии и скорпиони, и суша, където нямаше вода; който ти извади вода от кремъчната канара;

Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;

който те храни в пустинята с манна, която бащите ти не познаваха, за да те смири и за да те изпита, за да ти направи добро в бъдещето ти.

Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;

И да не би да кажеш в сърцето си: Моята мощ и силата на моята ръка ми спечелиха това богатство.

And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.

А да помниш ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, че Той е, който ти дава сила да придобиваш богатство, за да утвърди завета Си, за който се закле на бащите ти, както е и днес.

But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

И ако някога забравиш ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, и последваш други богове и им служиш, и им се покланяш, аз свидетелствам против вас днес, че непременно ще загинете.

And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

Както народите, които ГОСПОД унищожава пред вас, така и вие ще загинете, защото не послушахте гласа на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог.

As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.
