Deuteronomy 18

Свещениците левити, цялото левиево племе, да нямат нито дял, нито наследство с Израил; да ядат жертвите чрез огън на ГОСПОДА и Неговия дял.

The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.

Но Леви да няма наследство между братята си; ГОСПОД е наследството му, както му говори.

Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.

А това да бъде правото на свещениците от страна на народа, от страна на онези, които принасят жертва, било то говедо, или дребен добитък: да дават на свещеника плешката, челюстите и шкембето.

And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.

На него да даваш и първите плодове от житото си, новото си вино и маслото си, и първото руно от овцете си.

The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.

Защото ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, избра него от всичките ти племена, за да стои да служи в Името на ГОСПОДА завинаги; той и синовете му.

For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.

Ако левитът дойде от някоя от твоите порти в целия Израил, където живее, и дойде с цялото желание на душата си на мястото, което ГОСПОД избере,

And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the LORD shall choose;

и служи в Името на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, като всички свои братя левити, които стоят там пред ГОСПОДА,

Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD.

тогава да ядат равни дялове, освен това, което е от продажбата на бащиния му имот.

They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.

Когато влезеш в земята, която ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, ти дава, да не се учиш да правиш според мерзостите на онези народи.

When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

Да не се намира между теб никой, който прекарва сина си или дъщеря си през огън, или врач, или астролог, или заклинател, или гадател,

There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,

или който прави магии, или медиум, или спиритист, или който вика мъртвите;

Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

защото всеки, който прави тези неща, е омразен за ГОСПОДА и поради тези мерзости ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, ги изгонва отпред теб.

For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

Да принадлежиш изцяло на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог.

Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

Защото тези народи, които ще завладееш, слушат астролози и врачове; но колкото до теб, ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, не ти е позволил това.

For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, ще ти издигне отсред теб, от братята ти пророк като мен — него слушайте.

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

Това е според всичко, което ти поиска от ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, на Хорив в деня на събранието, като каза: Да не чуя вече гласа на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, и да не видя вече този голям огън, да не би да умра.

According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

И ГОСПОД ми каза: Добро е това, което говориха.

And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.

Ще им издигна отсред братята им пророк като теб и ще сложа думите Си в устата му; и той ще им говори всичко, което Аз му заповядвам.

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

И човекът, който не послуша думите Ми, които той ще говори в Мое Име, Аз ще търся сметка от него.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Но пророкът, който дръзне да говори в Моето Име слово, което Аз не съм му заповядал да говори, или който говори в името на други богове, този пророк да умре!

But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

И ако кажеш в сърцето си: Как ще познаем словото, което ГОСПОД не е говорил? —

And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?

когато някой пророк говори в Името на ГОСПОДА и словото не стане или не се изпълни, това е слово, което ГОСПОД не е говорил; пророкът го е говорил самонадеяно; да не се боиш от него.

When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
