Amos 2

2:1

Така казва ГОСПОД: Заради три престъпления на Моав, да, заради четири няма да върна наказанието му — защото изгори костите на едомския цар, докато станаха на вар.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

2:2

И Аз ще пратя огън върху Моав и той ще пояде дворците на Кариот, и Моав ще умре сред размирица, сред боен вик, сред глас на тръба.

But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:

2:3

И ще отсека съдията отсред него и с него ще убия всичките му първенци, казва ГОСПОД.

And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the LORD.

2:4

Така казва ГОСПОД: Заради три престъпления на Юда, да, заради четири няма да върна наказанието му — защото отхвърлиха закона на ГОСПОДА и не опазиха правилата Му, и лъжите им, след които ходиха бащите им, ги отклониха.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked:

2:5

И Аз ще пратя огън върху Юда и той ще пояде дворците на Ерусалим.

But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

2:6

Така казва ГОСПОД: Заради три престъпления на Израил, да, заради четири няма да върна наказанието му — защото продадоха праведния за пари и бедния — за чифт сандали.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;

2:7

Те желаят земния прах на главата на сиромасите и отклоняват пътя на кротките. И син, и баща му ходят при същото момиче, за да оскверняват святото Ми Име.

That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:

2:8

И на заложени дрехи се изтягат при всеки жертвеник и вино от глоби пият в дома на своя Бог.

And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.

2:9

А Аз изтребих пред тях аморееца, чиято височина беше като височината на кедрите, и който беше силен като дъбовете. И аз унищожих плода му отгоре и корените му отдолу.

Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
