Amos 3

Слушайте това слово, което ГОСПОД говори против вас, синове израилеви; против целия род, който изведох от египетската земя, като казах:

Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

Само вас познах от всички родове на земята, затова ще ви накажа за всичките ви беззакония.

You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

Ще ходят ли двама заедно, ако не се съгласят?

Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

Ще реве ли лъвът в гората, ако няма лов? Ще нададе ли гласа си младият лъв от леговището си, ако не е хванал нещо?

Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?

Ще падне ли птица в примка на земята, ако няма клопка за нея? Ще скочи ли примката от земята, ако не е уловила нищо?

Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?

Ако засвири тръба в града, народът няма ли да се уплаши? Ако беда сполети града, не я ли е направил ГОСПОД?

Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

Наистина Господ БОГ няма да направи нищо, без да открие тайната си на слугите Си, пророците.

Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Лъвът изрева — кой няма да се уплаши? Господ БОГ говори — кой няма да пророкува?

The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

Прогласете над дворците на Азот и над дворците на египетската земя и кажете: Съберете се по планините на Самария и вижте големите смутове сред нея и насилията вътре в нея!

Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof.

И не знаят да вършат правилното, заявява ГОСПОД, те, които трупат насилие и опустошение в дворците си.

For they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.

Затова, така казва Господ БОГ: Неприятел ще обкръжи земята и ще свали от теб силата ти, и дворците ти ще бъдат разграбени.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.

Така казва ГОСПОД: Както овчарят спасява от устата на лъва два крака или парченце от ухо, така ще се спасят израилевите синове, които седят в Самария в ъгъл на креват и на дамаска на легло.

Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch.

Слушайте и свидетелствайте на якововия дом, заявява Господ БОГ, Бог на Войнствата!

Hear ye, and testify in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord GOD, the God of hosts,

В деня, когато нанеса наказанието върху Израил за престъплението му, ще накажа и жертвениците на Ветил и роговете на жертвеника ще бъдат отсечени и ще паднат на земята.

That in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him I will also visit the altars of Beth–el: and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground.

И ще поразя зимната къща заедно с лятната къща и ще се изгубят къщите от слонова кост, и многото къщи ще изчезнат, заявява ГОСПОД.

And I will smite the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the LORD.
