Amos 1

Думите на Амос, който беше от говедарите на Текое, които чу във видение за Израил в дните на юдовия цар Озия и в дните на израилевия цар Еровоам, сина на Йоас, две години преди земетресението.

The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

И каза: ГОСПОД ще изреве от Сион и ще нададе гласа Си от Ерусалим; и ще скърбят пасбищата на овчарите и ще изсъхне върхът на Кармил.

And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.

Така казва ГОСПОД: Заради три престъпления на Дамаск, да, заради четири няма да върна наказанието му — защото вършаха Галаад с железни вършачки.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:

И Аз ще пратя огън в дома на Азаил и той ще пояде дворците на Венадад.

But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben–hadad.

Аз ще строша резето на Дамаск и ще изтребя жителя на низината Авен и държащия скиптър — от Ветеден, и народът на Арам ще бъде откаран в плен в Кир, казва ГОСПОД.

I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.

Така казва ГОСПОД: Заради три престъпления на Газа, да, заради четири няма да върна наказанието й — защото плениха всички, за да ги предадат на Едом.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:

И Аз ще пратя огън върху стената на Газа и той ще пояде дворците й.

But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:

И ще изтребя жителя на Азот и държащия скиптър — от Аскалон; ще обърна ръката Си против Акарон и остатъкът на филистимците ще погине, казва Господ БОГ.

And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.

Така казва ГОСПОД: Заради три престъпления на Тир, да, заради четири, няма да върна наказанието му — защото предадоха всички в плен на Едом и не си спомниха братския завет.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:

И Аз ще пратя огън върху стената на Тир и той ще пояде дворците му.

But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.

Така казва ГОСПОД: Заради три престъпления на Едом, да, заради четири, няма да върна наказанието му — защото преследва брат си с меч и задуши милостта си, гневът му разкъсва вечно и той пази постоянно яростта си.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:

И Аз ще пратя огън върху Теман и той ще пояде дворците на Восора.

But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.

Така казва ГОСПОД: Заради три престъпления на синовете на Амон, да, заради четири няма да върна наказанието им — защото разпориха бременните жени на Галаад, за да разширят пределите си.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:

И Аз ще запаля огън в стената на Рава и той ще пояде дворците му, сред боен вик в деня на битката, сред вихрушка в деня на бурята.

But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:

И царят им ще отиде в плен, той и първенците му заедно, казва ГОСПОД.

And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.
