Psalms 36

رب کے خادم داؤد کا زبور۔ موسیقی کے راہنما کے لئے۔ بدکاری بےدین کے دل ہی میں اُس سے بات کرتی ہے۔ اُس کی آنکھوں کے سامنے اللہ کا خوف نہیں ہوتا،

The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

کیونکہ اُس کی نظر میں یہ بات فخر کا باعث ہے کہ اُسے قصوروار پایا گیا، کہ وہ نفرت کرتا ہے۔

For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

اُس کے منہ سے شرارت اور فریب نکلتا ہے، وہ سمجھ دار ہونے اور نیک کام کرنے سے باز آیا ہے۔

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

اپنے بستر پر بھی وہ شرارت کے منصوبے باندھتا ہے۔ وہ مضبوطی سے بُری راہ پر کھڑا رہتا اور بُرائی کو مسترد نہیں کرتا۔

He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

اے رب، تیری شفقت آسمان تک، تیری وفاداری بادلوں تک پہنچتی ہے۔

Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

تیری راستی بلندترین پہاڑوں کی مانند، تیرا انصاف سمندر کی گہرائیوں جیسا ہے۔ اے رب، تُو انسان و حیوان کی مدد کرتا ہے۔

Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

اے اللہ، تیری شفقت کتنی بیش قیمت ہے! آدم زاد تیرے پَروں کے سائے میں پناہ لیتے ہیں۔

How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

وہ تیرے گھر کے عمدہ کھانے سے تر و تازہ ہو جاتے ہیں، اور تُو اُنہیں اپنی خوشیوں کی ندی میں سے پلاتا ہے۔

They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

کیونکہ زندگی کا سرچشمہ تیرے ہی پاس ہے، اور ہم تیرے نور میں رہ کر نور کا مشاہدہ کرتے ہیں۔

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

اپنی شفقت اُن پر پھیلائے رکھ جو تجھے جانتے ہیں، اپنی راستی اُن پر جو دل سے دیانت دار ہیں۔

O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

مغروروں کا پاؤں مجھ تک نہ پہنچے، بےدینوں کا ہاتھ مجھے بےگھر نہ بنائے۔

Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

دیکھو، بدکار گر گئے ہیں! اُنہیں زمین پر پٹخ دیا گیا ہے، اور وہ دوبارہ کبھی نہیں اُٹھیں گے۔

There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
