I Chronicles 5

اسرائیل کا پہلوٹھا روبن تھا۔ لیکن چونکہ اُس نے اپنے باپ کی داشتہ سے ہم بستر ہونے سے باپ کی بےحرمتی کی تھی اِس لئے پہلوٹھے کا موروثی حق اُس کے بھائی یوسف کے بیٹوں کو دیا گیا۔ اِسی وجہ سے نسب ناموں میں روبن کو پہلوٹھے کی حیثیت سے بیان نہیں کیا گیا۔

Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.

یہوداہ دیگر بھائیوں کی نسبت زیادہ طاقت ور تھا، اور اُس سے قوم کا بادشاہ نکلا۔ توبھی یوسف کو پہلوٹھے کا موروثی حق حاصل تھا۔

For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:)

اسرائیل کے پہلوٹھے روبن کے چار بیٹے حنوک، فلّو، حصرون اور کرمی تھے۔

The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

یوایل کے ہاں سمعیاہ پیدا ہوا، سمعیاہ کے جوج، جوج کے سِمعی،

The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,

سِمعی کے میکاہ، میکاہ کے ریایاہ، ریایاہ کے بعل اور

Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,

بعل کے بئیرہ۔ بئیرہ کو اسور کے بادشاہ تِگلت پِل ایسر نے جلاوطن کر دیا۔ بئیرہ روبن کے قبیلے کا سرپرست تھا۔

Beerah his son, whom Tilgath–pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.

اُن کے نسب ناموں میں اُس کے بھائی اُن کے خاندانوں کے مطابق درج کئے گئے ہیں، سرِفہرست یعی ایل، پھر زکریاہ

And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,

اور بالع بن عزز بن سمع بن یوایل۔ روبن کا قبیلہ عروعیر سے لے کر نبو اور بعل معون تک کے علاقے میں آباد ہوا۔

And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baal–meon:

مشرق کی طرف وہ اُس ریگستان کے کنارے تک پھیل گئے جو دریائے فرات سے شروع ہوتا ہے۔ کیونکہ جِلعاد میں اُن کے ریوڑوں کی تعداد بہت بڑھ گئی تھی۔

And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.

ساؤل کے ایام میں اُنہوں نے ہاجریوں سے لڑ کر اُنہیں ہلاک کر دیا اور خود اُن کی آبادیوں میں رہنے لگے۔ یوں جِلعاد کے مشرق کا پورا علاقہ روبن کے قبیلے کی ملکیت میں آ گیا۔

And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of Gilead.

جد کا قبیلہ روبن کے قبیلے کے پڑوسی ملک بسن میں سلکہ تک آباد تھا۔

And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salchah:

اُس کا سربراہ یوایل تھا، پھر سافم، یعنی اور سافط۔ وہ سب بسن میں آباد تھے۔

Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.

اُن کے بھائی اُن کے خاندانوں سمیت میکائیل، مسُلّام، سبع، یوری، یعکان، زیع اور عِبر تھے۔

And their brethren of the house of their fathers were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.

یہ سات آدمی ابی خیل بن حوری بن یاروح بن جِلعاد بن میکائیل بن یسیسی بن یحدو بن بوز کے بیٹے تھے۔

These are the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;

اخی بن عبدی ایل بن جونی اِن خاندانوں کا سرپرست تھا۔

Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.

جد کا قبیلہ جِلعاد اور بسن کے علاقوں کی آبادیوں میں آباد تھا۔ شارون سے لے کر سرحد تک کی پوری چراگاہیں بھی اُن کے قبضے میں تھیں۔

And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in her towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.

یہ تمام خاندان یہوداہ کے بادشاہ یوتام اور اسرائیل کے بادشاہ یرُبعام کے زمانے میں نسب ناموں میں درج کئے گئے۔

All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.

روبن، جد اور منسّی کے آدھے قبیلے کے 44,760 فوجی تھے۔ سب لڑنے کے قابل اور تجربہ کار آدمی تھے، ایسے لوگ جو تیر چلا سکتے اور ڈھال اور تلوار سے لیس تھے۔

The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went out to the war.

اُنہوں نے ہاجریوں، یطور، نفیس اور نودب سے جنگ کی۔

And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.

لڑتے وقت اُنہوں نے اللہ سے مدد کے لئے فریاد کی، تو اُس نے اُن کی سن کر ہاجریوں کو اُن کے اتحادیوں سمیت اُن کے حوالے کر دیا۔

And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.

اُنہوں نے اُن سے بہت کچھ لُوٹ لیا: 50,000 اونٹ، 2,50,000 بھیڑبکریاں اور 2,000 گدھے۔ ساتھ ساتھ اُنہوں نے 1,00,000 لوگوں کو قید بھی کر لیا۔

And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men an hundred thousand.

میدانِ جنگ میں بےشمار دشمن مارے گئے، کیونکہ جنگ اللہ کی تھی۔ جب تک اسرائیلیوں کو اسور میں جلاوطن نہ کر دیا گیا وہ اِس علاقے میں آباد رہے۔

For there fell down many slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.

منسّی کا آدھا قبیلہ بہت بڑا تھا۔ اُس کے لوگ بسن سے لے کر بعل حرمون اور سنیر یعنی حرمون کے پہاڑی سلسلے تک پھیل گئے۔

And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan unto Baal–hermon and Senir, and unto mount Hermon.

اُن کے خاندانی سرپرست عِفر، یِسعی، اِلی ایل، عزری ایل، یرمیاہ، ہوداویاہ اور یحدی ایل تھے۔ سب ماہر فوجی، مشہور آدمی اور خاندانی سربراہ تھے۔

And these were the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, and heads of the house of their fathers.

لیکن یہ مشرقی قبیلے اپنے باپ دادا کے خدا سے بےوفا ہو گئے۔ وہ زنا کر کے ملک کے اُن اقوام کے دیوتاؤں کے پیچھے لگ گئے جن کو اللہ نے اُن کے آگے سے مٹا دیا تھا۔

And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.

یہ دیکھ کر اسرائیل کے خدا نے اسور کے بادشاہ تِگلت پِل ایسر کو اُن کے خلاف برپا کیا جس نے روبن، جد اور منسّی کے آدھے قبیلے کو جلاوطن کر دیا۔ وہ اُنہیں خلح، دریائے خابور، ہارا اور دریائے جوزان کو لے گیا جہاں وہ آج تک آباد ہیں۔

And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath–pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
