Psalms 39

Ho an'ny mpiventy hira. Ho an'i Jedotona Salamo nataon'i Davida. Hoy izaho: hitandrina ny lalako aho ka tsy hanota amin'ny lelako; hasiako fehim-bava ny vavako, raha mbola eo anatrehako ny ratsy fanahy.

I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.

Nangina mihitsy aho, namihim-bava ka tsy nilaza na dia ny tsara aza, dia nihetsika mafy ny fanaintainan'ny aretiko.

I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.

Nafana ny foko tato anatiko; raha nieritreritra aho, dia nisy afo nirehitra, ka niteny tamin'ny lelako aho.

My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue,

Jehovah ô,ampahafantaro ny farako aho sy izay ohatry ny androko; aoka ho fantatro fa olon-kandalo aho.

LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.

Indro efa nataonao vodivoam-pelatanana ny androko, ary ny fiainako toy ny tsinontsinona eo anatrehanao. Zava-poana ihany tokoa ny olon-drehetra, na dia matanjaka aza.

Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.

Aloka tokoa no fandehandehan'ny olona; zava-poana tokoa no itabatabàny; mihary harena izy nefa tsy fantany izay ho tompon'izany.

Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

Ary ankehitriny, inona no andrasako Tompo ô? Hianao no antenaiko.

And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

Manafaha ahy amin'ny fahadisoako rehetra; aza manao ahy ho fanakoran'ny adala.

Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.

Mangina aho ka tsy miloa-bava fa ianao no nanao izao.

I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it.

Aoka hitsahatra ny fikapohanao ahy; reraka aho azon'ny famelin'ny tananao.

Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.

Anatra noho ny fahadisoany no ananaranao ny olona, ka manimba ny hatsaran-tarehiny tahaka ny kalalao ianao; zava-poana tokoa ny olona rehetra.

When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.

Mandrenesa ny fivavako Jehovah ô,ary mihainoa ny fitarainako; aza mangina amin'ny ranomasoko fa vahiny aminao aho sy mpivahiny tahaka ny razako rehetra.

Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.

Aza atrehinao aho aloha, dia ho miramirana indray, dieny aho tsy mbola lasa ka tsy ho eto intsony.

O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.
