Revelation of John 1

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

یہ عیسیٰ مسیح کی طرف سے مکاشفہ ہے جو اللہ نے اُسے عطا کیا تاکہ وہ اپنے خادموں کو وہ کچھ دکھائے جسے جلد ہی پیش آنا ہے۔ اُس نے اپنے فرشتے کو بھیج کر یہ مکاشفہ اپنے خادم یوحنا تک پہنچا دیا۔

Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

اور جو کچھ بھی یوحنا نے دیکھا ہے اُس کی گواہی اُس نے دی ہے، خواہ اللہ کا کلام ہو یا عیسیٰ مسیح کی گواہی۔

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

مبارک ہے وہ جو اِس نبوّت کی تلاوت کرتا ہے۔ ہاں، مبارک ہیں وہ جو سن کر اپنے دلوں میں اِس کتاب میں درج باتیں محفوظ رکھتے ہیں، کیونکہ یہ جلد ہی پوری ہو جائیں گی۔

John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

یہ خط یوحنا کی طرف سے صوبہ آسیہ کی سات جماعتوں کے لئے ہے۔ آپ کو اللہ کی طرف سے فضل اور سلامتی حاصل رہے، اُس کی طرف سے جو ہے، جو تھا اور جو آنے والا ہے، اُن سات روحوں کی طرف سے جو اُس کے تخت کے سامنے ہوتی ہیں،

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

اور عیسیٰ مسیح کی طرف سے یعنی اُس سے جو اِن باتوں کا وفادار گواہ، مُردوں میں سے پہلا جی اُٹھنے والا اور دنیا کے بادشاہوں کا سردار ہے۔ اُس کی تمجید ہو جو ہمیں پیار کرتا ہے، جس نے اپنے خون سے ہمیں ہمارے گناہوں سے خلاصی بخشی ہے

And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

اور جس نے ہمیں شاہی اختیار دے کر اپنے خدا اور باپ کے امام بنا دیا ہے۔ اُسے ازل سے ابد تک جلال اور قدرت حاصل رہے! آمین۔

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

دیکھیں، وہ بادلوں کے ساتھ آ رہا ہے۔ ہر ایک اُسے دیکھے گا، وہ بھی جنہوں نے اُسے چھیدا تھا۔ اور دنیا کی تمام قومیں اُسے دیکھ کر آہ و زاری کریں گی۔ ہاں، ایسا ہی ہو! آمین۔

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

رب خدا فرماتا ہے، ”مَیں اوّل اور آخر ہوں، وہ جو ہے، جو تھا اور جو آنے والا ہے، یعنی قادرِ مطلق خدا۔“

I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

مَیں یوحنا آپ کا بھائی اور شریکِ حال ہوں۔ مجھ پر بھی آپ کی طرح ظلم کیا جا رہا ہے۔ مَیں آپ کے ساتھ اللہ کی بادشاہی میں شریک ہوں اور عیسیٰ میں آپ کے ساتھ ثابت قدم رہتا ہوں۔ مجھے اللہ کا کلام سنانے اور عیسیٰ کے بارے میں گواہی دینے کی وجہ سے اِس جزیرے میں جو پتمس کہلاتا ہے چھوڑ دیا گیا۔

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

رب کے دن یعنی اتوار کو مَیں روح القدس کی گرفت میں آ گیا اور مَیں نے اپنے پیچھے تُرم کی سی ایک اونچی آواز سنی۔

Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

اُس نے کہا، ”جو کچھ تُو دیکھ رہا ہے اُسے ایک کتاب میں لکھ کر اُن سات جماعتوں کو بھیج دینا جو اِفسس، سمرنہ، پرگمن، تھواتیرہ، سردیس، فلدلفیہ اور لودیکیہ میں ہیں۔“

And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

مَیں نے بولنے والے کو دیکھنے کے لئے اپنے پیچھے نظر ڈالی تو سونے کے سات شمع دان دیکھے۔

And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

اِن شمع دانوں کے درمیان کوئی کھڑا تھا جو ابنِ آدم کی مانند تھا۔ اُس نے پاؤں تک کا لمبا چوغہ پہن رکھا تھا اور سینے پر سونے کا سینہ بند باندھا ہوا تھا۔

His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

اُس کا سر اور بال اُون یا برف جیسے سفید تھے اور اُس کی آنکھیں آگ کے شعلے کی مانند تھیں۔

And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

اُس کے پاؤں بھٹے میں دمکتے پیتل کی مانند تھے اور اُس کی آواز آبشار کے شور جیسی تھی۔

And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

اپنے دہنے ہاتھ میں اُس نے سات ستارے تھام رکھے تھے اور اُس کے منہ سے ایک تیز اور دو دھاری تلوار نکل رہی تھی۔ اُس کا چہرہ پورے زور سے چمکنے والے سورج کی طرح چمک رہا تھا۔

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

اُسے دیکھتے ہی مَیں اُس کے پاؤں میں گر گیا۔ مَیں مُردہ سا تھا۔ پھر اُس نے اپنا دہنا ہاتھ مجھ پر رکھ کر کہا، ”مت ڈر۔ مَیں اوّل اور آخر ہوں۔

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

مَیں وہ ہوں جو زندہ ہے۔ مَیں تو مر گیا تھا لیکن اب دیکھ، مَیں ابد تک زندہ ہوں۔ اور موت اور پاتال کی کنجیاں میرے ہاتھ میں ہیں۔

Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

چنانچہ جو کچھ تُو نے دیکھا ہے، جو ابھی ہے اور جو آئندہ ہو گا اُسے لکھ دے۔

The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

میرے دہنے ہاتھ میں سات ستاروں اور سات شمع دانوں کا پوشیدہ مطلب یہ ہے: یہ سات ستارے آسیہ کی سات جماعتوں کے فرشتے ہیں، اور یہ سات شمع دان یہ سات جماعتیں ہیں۔
