Psalms 87

His foundation is in the holy mountains.

قورح کی اولاد کا زبور۔ گیت۔ اُس کی بنیاد مُقدّس پہاڑوں پر رکھی گئی ہے۔

The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

رب صیون کے دروازوں کو یعقوب کی دیگر آبادیوں سے کہیں زیادہ پیار کرتا ہے۔

Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.

اے اللہ کے شہر، تیرے بارے میں شاندار باتیں سنائی جاتی ہیں۔ (سِلاہ)

I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”مَیں مصر اور بابل کو اُن لوگوں میں شمار کروں گا جو مجھے جانتے ہیں۔“ فلستیہ، صور اور ایتھوپیا کے بارے میں بھی کہا جائے گا، ”اِن کی پیدائش یہیں ہوئی ہے۔“

And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.

لیکن صیون کے بارے میں کہا جائے گا، ”ہر ایک باشندہ اُس میں پیدا ہوا ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ خود اُسے قائم رکھے گا۔“

The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.

جب رب اقوام کو کتاب میں درج کرے گا تو وہ ساتھ ساتھ یہ بھی لکھے گا، ”یہ صیون میں پیدا ہوئی ہیں۔“ (سِلاہ)

As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.

اور لوگ ناچتے ہوئے گائیں گے، ”میرے تمام چشمے تجھ میں ہیں۔“
