Joel 3

For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,

اُن دنوں میں، ہاں اُس وقت جب مَیں یہوداہ اور یروشلم کو بحال کروں گا

I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

مَیں تمام دیگر اقوام کو جمع کر کے وادیِ یہوسفط میں لے جاؤں گا۔ وہاں مَیں اپنی قوم اور موروثی ملکیت کی خاطر اُن سے مقدمہ لڑوں گا۔ کیونکہ اُنہوں نے میری قوم کو دیگر اقوام میں منتشر کر کے میرے ملک کو آپس میں تقسیم کر لیا،

And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.

قرعہ ڈال کر میری قوم کو آپس میں بانٹ لیا ہے۔ اُنہوں نے اسرائیلی لڑکوں کو کسبیوں کے بدلے میں دے دیا اور اسرائیلی لڑکیوں کو فروخت کیا تاکہ مَے خرید کر پی سکیں۔

Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;

اے صور، صیدا اور تمام فلستی علاقو، میرا تم سے کیا واسطہ؟ کیا تم مجھ سے انتقام لینا یا مجھے سزا دینا چاہتے ہو؟ جلد ہی مَیں تیزی سے تمہارے ساتھ وہ کچھ کروں گا جو تم نے دوسروں کے ساتھ کیا ہے۔

Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:

کیونکہ تم نے میری سونا چاندی اور میرے بیش قیمت خزانے لُوٹ کر اپنے مندروں میں رکھ لئے ہیں۔

The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.

یہوداہ اور یروشلم کے باشندوں کو تم نے یونانیوں کے ہاتھ بیچ ڈالا تاکہ وہ اپنے وطن سے دُور رہیں۔

Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:

لیکن مَیں اُنہیں جگا کر اُن مقاموں سے واپس لاؤں گا جہاں تم نے اُنہیں فروخت کر دیا تھا۔ ساتھ ساتھ مَیں تمہارے ساتھ وہ کچھ کروں گا جو تم نے اُن کے ساتھ کیا تھا۔

And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.

رب فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں تمہارے بیٹے بیٹیوں کو یہوداہ کے باشندوں کے ہاتھ بیچ ڈالوں گا، اور وہ اُنہیں دُوردراز قوم سبا کے حوالے کر کے فروخت کریں گے۔

Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:

بلند آواز سے دیگر اقوام میں اعلان کرو کہ جنگ کی تیاریاں کرو۔ اپنے بہترین فوجیوں کو کھڑا کرو۔ لڑنے کے قابل تمام مرد آ کر حملہ کریں۔

Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

اپنے ہل کی پھالیوں کو کوٹ کوٹ کر تلواریں بنا لو، کانٹ چھانٹ کے اوزاروں کو نیزوں میں تبدیل کرو۔ کمزور آدمی بھی کہے، ’مَیں سورما ہوں!‘

Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.

اے تمام اقوام، چاروں طرف سے آ کر وادی میں جمع ہو جاؤ! جلدی کرو۔“ اے رب، اپنے سورماؤں کو وہاں اُترنے دے!

Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.

”دیگر اقوام حرکت میں آ کر وادیِ یہوسفط میں آ جائیں۔ کیونکہ وہاں مَیں تخت پر بیٹھ کر ارد گرد کی تمام اقوام کا فیصلہ کروں گا۔

Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

آؤ، درانتی چلاؤ، کیونکہ فصل پک گئی ہے۔ آؤ، انگور کو کچل دو، کیونکہ اُس کا رس نکالنے کا حوض بھرا ہوا ہے، اور تمام برتن رس سے چھلکنے لگے ہیں۔ کیونکہ اُن کی بُرائی بہت ہے۔“

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

فیصلے کی وادی میں ہنگامہ ہی ہنگامہ ہے، کیونکہ فیصلے کی وادی میں رب کا دن قریب آ گیا ہے۔

The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

سورج اور چاند تاریک ہو جائیں گے، ستاروں کی چمک دمک جاتی رہے گی۔

The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

رب کوہِ صیون پر سے دہاڑے گا، یروشلم سے اُس کی گرجتی آواز یوں سنائی دے گی کہ آسمان و زمین لرز اُٹھیں گے۔ لیکن رب اپنی قوم کی پناہ گاہ اور اسرائیلیوں کا قلعہ ہو گا۔

So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

”تب تم جان لو گے کہ مَیں، رب تمہارا خدا ہوں اور اپنے مُقدّس پہاڑ صیون پر سکونت کرتا ہوں۔ یروشلم مُقدّس ہو گا، اور آئندہ پردیسی اُس میں سے نہیں گزریں گے۔

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

اُس دن ہر چیز کثرت سے دست یاب ہو گی۔ پہاڑوں سے انگور کا رس ٹپکے گا، پہاڑیوں سے دودھ کی ندیاں بہیں گی، اور یہوداہ کے تمام ندی نالے پانی سے بھرے رہیں گے۔ نیز، رب کے گھر میں سے ایک چشمہ پھوٹ نکلے گا اور بہتا ہوا وادیِ شِطّیم کی آب پاشی کرے گا۔

Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

لیکن مصر تباہ اور ادوم ویران و سنسان ہو جائے گا، کیونکہ اُنہوں نے یہوداہ کے باشندوں پر ظلم و تشدد کیا، اُن کے اپنے ہی ملک میں بےقصور لوگوں کو قتل کیا ہے۔

But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.

لیکن یہوداہ ہمیشہ تک آباد رہے گا، یروشلم نسل در نسل قائم رہے گا۔

For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.

جو قتل و غارت اُن کے درمیان ہوئی ہے اُس کی سزا مَیں ضرور دوں گا۔“ رب کوہِ صیون پر سکونت کرتا ہے!
