I Thessalonians 4

Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.

بھائیو، ایک آخری بات، آپ نے ہم سے سیکھ لیا تھا کہ ہماری زندگی کس طرح ہونی چاہئے تاکہ وہ اللہ کو پسند آئے۔ اور آپ اِس کے مطابق زندگی گزارتے بھی ہیں۔ اب ہم خداوند عیسیٰ میں آپ سے درخواست اور آپ کی حوصلہ افزائی کرتے ہیں کہ آپ اِس میں مزید ترقی کرتے جائیں۔

For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

آپ تو اُن ہدایات سے واقف ہیں جو ہم نے آپ کو خداوند عیسیٰ کے وسیلے سے دی تھیں۔

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

کیونکہ اللہ کی مرضی ہے کہ آپ اُس کے لئے مخصوص و مُقدّس ہوں، کہ آپ زناکاری سے باز رہیں۔

That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

ہر ایک اپنے بدن پر یوں قابو پانا سیکھ لے کہ وہ مُقدّس اور شریف زندگی گزار سکے۔

Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

وہ غیرایمان داروں کی طرح جو اللہ سے ناواقف ہیں شہوت پرستی کا شکار نہ ہو۔

That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

اِس معاملے میں کوئی اپنے بھائی کا گناہ نہ کرے، نہ اُس سے غلط فائدہ اُٹھائے۔ خداوند ایسے گناہوں کی سزا دیتا ہے۔ ہم یہ سب کچھ بتا چکے اور آپ کو آگاہ کر چکے ہیں۔

For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

کیونکہ اللہ نے ہمیں ناپاک زندگی گزارنے کے لئے نہیں بُلایا بلکہ مخصوص و مُقدّس زندگی گزارنے کے لئے۔

He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

اِس لئے جو یہ ہدایات رد کرتا ہے وہ انسان کو نہیں بلکہ اللہ کو رد کرتا ہے جو آپ کو اپنا مُقدّس روح دے دیتا ہے۔

But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

یہ لکھنے کی ضرورت نہیں کہ آپ دوسرے ایمان داروں سے محبت رکھیں۔ اللہ نے خود آپ کو ایک دوسرے سے محبت رکھنا سکھایا ہے۔

And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;

اور حقیقتاً آپ مکدُنیہ کے تمام بھائیوں سے ایسی ہی محبت رکھتے ہیں۔ توبھی بھائیو، ہم آپ کی حوصلہ افزائی کرنا چاہتے ہیں کہ آپ اِس میں مزید ترقی کرتے جائیں۔

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

اپنی عزت اِس میں برقرار رکھیں کہ آپ سکون سے زندگی گزاریں، اپنے فرائض ادا کریں اور اپنے ہاتھوں سے کام کریں، جس طرح ہم نے آپ کو کہہ دیا تھا۔

That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

جب آپ ایسا کریں گے تو غیرایمان دار آپ کی قدر کریں گے اور آپ کسی بھی چیز کے محتاج نہیں رہیں گے۔

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

بھائیو، ہم چاہتے ہیں کہ آپ اُن کے بارے میں حقیقت جان لیں جو سو گئے ہیں تاکہ آپ دوسروں کی طرح جن کی کوئی اُمید نہیں ماتم نہ کریں۔

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

ہمارا ایمان ہے کہ عیسیٰ مر گیا اور دوبارہ جی اُٹھا، اِس لئے ہمارا یہ بھی ایمان ہے کہ جب عیسیٰ واپس آئے گا تو اللہ اُس کے ساتھ اُن ایمان داروں کو بھی واپس لائے گا جو موت کی نیند سو گئے ہیں۔

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

جو کچھ ہم اب آپ کو بتا رہے ہیں وہ خداوند کی تعلیم ہے۔ خداوند کی آمد پر ہم جو زندہ ہوں گے سوئے ہوئے لوگوں سے پہلے خداوند سے نہیں ملیں گے۔

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

اُس وقت اونچی آواز سے حکم دیا جائے گا، فرشتۂ اعظم کی آواز سنائی دے گی، اللہ کا تُرم بجے گا اور خداوند خود آسمان پر سے اُتر آئے گا۔ تب پہلے وہ جی اُٹھیں گے جو مسیح میں مر گئے تھے۔

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

اِن کے بعد ہی ہمیں جو زندہ ہوں گے بادلوں پر اُٹھا لیا جائے گا تاکہ ہَوا میں خداوند سے ملیں۔ پھر ہم ہمیشہ خداوند کے ساتھ رہیں گے۔

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

چنانچہ اِن الفاظ سے ایک دوسرے کو تسلی دیا کریں۔
