Psalms 124

If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;

Cántico gradual: de David. Á NO haber estado JEHOVÁ por nosotros, Diga ahora Israel;

If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

Á no haber estado JEHOVÁ por nosotros, Cuando se levantaron contra nosotros los hombres,

Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

Vivos nos habrían entonces tragado, Cuando se encendió su furor en nosotros.

Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

Entonces nos habrían inundado las aguas; Sobre nuestra alma hubiera pasado el torrente:

Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

Hubieran entonces pasado sobre nuestra alma las aguas soberbias.

Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

Bendito JEHOVÁ, Que no nos dió por presa á sus dientes.

Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

Nuestra alma escapó cual ave del lazo de los cazadores: Quebróse el lazo, y escapamos nosotros.

Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Nuestro socorro es en el nombre de JEHOVÁ, Que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
