Psalms 19

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

अम्बर परमेश्वर की महिमा बखानतें हैं, और आकाश परमेश्वर की उत्तम रचनाओं का प्रदर्शन करते हैं।

Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

हर नया दिन उसकी नयी कथा कहता है, और हर रात परमेश्वर की नयी—नयी शक्तियों को प्रकट करता हैं।

There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

न तो कोई बोली है, और न तो कोई भाषा, जहाँ उसका शब्द नहीं सुनाई पड़ता।

Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

उसकी “वाणी” भूमण्डल में व्यापती है और उसके “शब्द” धरती के छोर तक पहुँचते हैं। उनमें उसने सूर्य के लिये एक घर सा तैयार किया है।

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

सूर्य प्रफुल्ल हुए दुल्हे सा अपने शयनकक्षा से निकलता है। सूर्य अपनी राह पर आकाश को पार करने निकल पड़ता है, जैसे कोई खिलाड़ी अपनी दौड़ पूरी करने को तत्पर हो।

His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

अम्बर के एक छोर से सूर्य चल पड़ता है और उस पार पहुँचने को, वह सारी राह दौड़ता ही रहता है। ऐसी कोई वस्तु नहीं जो अपने को उसकी गर्मी से छुपा ले। यहोवा के उपदेश भी ऐसे ही होते है।

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

यहोवा की शिक्षायें सम्पूर्ण होती हैं, ये भक्त जन को शक्ति देती हैं। यहोवा की वाचा पर भरोसा किया जा सकता हैं। जिनके पास बुद्धि नहीं है यह उन्हैं सुबुद्धि देता है।

The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

यहोवा के नियम न्यायपूर्ण होते हैं, वे लोगों को प्रसन्नता से भर देते हैं। यहोवा के आदेश उत्तम हैं, वे मनुष्यों को जीने की नयी राह दिखाते हैं।

The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

यहोवा की आराधना प्रकाश जैसी होती है, यह तो सदा सर्वदा ज्योतिमय रहेगी। यहोवा के न्याय निष्पक्ष होते हैं, वे पूरी तरह न्यायपूर्ण होते हैं।

More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

यहोवा के उपदेश उत्तम स्वर्ण और कुन्दन से भी बढ़ कर मनोहर है। वे उत्तम शहद से भी अधिक मधुर हैं, जो सीधे शहद के छते से टपक आता है।

Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

हे यहोवा, तेरे उपदेश तेरे सेवक को आगाह करते है, और जो उनका पालन करते हैं उन्हें तो वरदान मिलते हैं।

Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

हे यहोवा, अपने सभी दोषों को कोई नहीं देख पाता है। इसलिए तू मुझे उन पापों से बचा जो एकांत में छुप कर किये जाते हैं।

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

हे यहोवा, मुझे उन पापों को करने से बचा जिन्हें मैं करना चाहता हूँ। उन पापों को मुझ पर शासन न करने दे। यदि तू मुझे बचाये तो मैं पवित्र और अपने पापों से मुक्त हो सकता हूँ।

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

मुझको आशा है कि, मेरे वचन और चिंतन तुझको प्रसन्न करेंगे। हे यहोवा, तू मेरी चट्टान, और मेरा बचाने वाला है!
