Psalms 3

LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

خداوندا، دشمنان بسیار دارم، عدّهٔ زیادی علیه من برخاسته‌اند.

Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

آنها دربارهٔ من صحبت می‌کنند و می‌گویند: «خدا او را کمک نخواهد کرد.»

But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

امّا تو ای خداوند، همیشه سپر من در برابر خطرات هستی؛ تو به من پیروزی می‌بخشی و به من شجاعت می‌دهی.

I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

به حضور خداوند فریاد می‌کنم و او از کوه مقدّس خود مرا اجابت می‌کند.

I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

آسوده می‌خوابم و دوباره بیدار می‌شوم زیرا خداوند از من مراقبت می‌کند.

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

از دهها هزار دشمنی که مرا از هر طرف احاطه کرده‌اند ترسی ندارم.

Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

ای خداوند برخیز، ای خدا مرا نجات بده. دشمنانم را مجازات کن و قدرت آنها را درهم بشکن تا نتوانند به من آسیبی برسانند.

Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

رهایی از سوی خداوند است و او به مؤمنین خود برکت خواهد داد.
