God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

ГОСПОД е Бог ревнив и отмъщава; отмъстител е ГОСПОД и изпълнен с ярост; ГОСПОД отмъщава на противниците Си и пази гняв за враговете Си.

The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

ГОСПОД е дълготърпелив и велик в сила и никак няма да изкара невинен виновния. ГОСПОД — пътят Му е във вихрушка и буря и облаците са праха на краката Му.

He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.

Смъмря морето и го изсушава и пресушава всичките реки. Васан и Кармил повяхват и повяхва цветът на Ливан.

The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.

Планините треперят от Него и хълмовете се разтопяват, и земята се надига от присъствието Му и светът, и всичките му жители.

Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

Пред негодуванието Му кой ще устои и кой ще застане пред пламналия Му гняв? Яростта Му се излива като огън и скалите се разпадат пред Него.

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

ГОСПОД е добър, Той е сила в ден на бедствие и познава тези, които се уповават на Него.

But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.

Но с помитащо наводнение ще изличи напълно мястото й и мрак ще преследва враговете Му.

What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.

Какво замисляте против ГОСПОДА? Той ще изличи напълно, бедствието няма да се надигне два пъти.

For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.

Защото и да са сплетени като тръни и пияни от питието си, ще бъдат напълно погълнати като суха слама.

There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.

От теб излезе един, който замисля зло против ГОСПОДА, негоден съветник.

Thus saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.

Така казва ГОСПОД: Ако и да са в благополучието си и толкова многобройни, пак ще бъдат посечени, когато премине. Ако и да те унижих, вече няма да те унижавам.

For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.

Още сега ще строша ярема му от теб и ще разкъсам връзките ти.

And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.

Но за теб, Ниневия, ГОСПОД заповяда да не се посее вече потомство от името ти. От капището на боговете ти ще отсека изваяния и излян идол; ще ти приготвя гроб, защото не струваш нищо.

Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

Ето на планините краката на онзи, който благовества, който прогласява мир! Празнувай, Юда, празниците си, изпълнявай обреците си, защото злият няма вече да мине през теб, той е напълно унищожен.
