Isaiah 38

In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.

В онова време Езекия се разболя до смърт. И пророк Исая, синът на Амос, дойде при него и му каза: Така казва ГОСПОД: Нареди за дома си, понеже ще умреш и няма да живееш!

Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD,

Тогава Езекия обърна лицето си към стената и се помоли на ГОСПОДА и каза:

And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

О, ГОСПОДИ, моля Те, спомни си как ходих пред Теб с истина и с неразделено сърце и върших това, което е добро пред Теб! И Езекия плака горчиво.

Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,

И ГОСПОДНОТО слово беше към Исая и каза:

Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

Иди и кажи на Езекия: Така казва ГОСПОД, Бог на баща ти Давид: Чух молитвата ти, видях сълзите ти. Ето, ще прибавя на живота ти петнадесет години.

And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.

И ще избавя теб и този град от ръката на асирийския цар и ще защитя този град.

And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;

И това ще ти бъде знамението от ГОСПОДА, че ГОСПОД ще извърши това слово, което говори:

Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

ето, връщам сянката по стъпалата, по които се е наклонила от слънцето върху слънчевия часовник на Ахаз с десет стъпала назад. И слънцето се върна с десет стъпала по стъпалата, по които беше слязло.

The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:

Написаното от юдовия цар Езекия, когато се беше разболял и оздравя от болестта си:

I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.

Аз казах: В средата на дните си ще отида в портите на Шеол; лишен съм от остатъка на годините си.

I said, I shall not see the LORD, even the LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.

Казах: Няма да видя ГОСПОДА, ГОСПОДА в земята на живите; няма да видя вече човек, като съм с жителите на онзи свят.

Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd's tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.

Жилището ми се вдигна и се премести от мен като овчарска шатра; навих живота си като тъкач — от основата ще ме отреже, от деня до нощта ще ме довършиш.

I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.

Успокоявах се до сутринта, но като лъв троши всичките ми кости; от деня до нощта ще ме довършиш.

Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.

Като лястовица, като жерав крещях, стенех като гургулица; очите ми изнемощяха от гледане нагоре. Господи, в притеснение съм, застъпи се за мен!

What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it: I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.

Какво да кажа? Той ми каза и Той извърши. Ще ходя смирено през всичките си години поради огорчението на душата си.

O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.

Господи, чрез тези неща се живее и във всички тях е животът на духа ми. И Ти ме изцеляваш и ме съживяваш.

Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.

Ето, за добро имах горчива скръб. И Ти възлюби душата ми и я избави от рова на тлението, защото хвърли зад гърба Си всичките ми грехове.

For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

Защото няма Шеол да Те хвали, смъртта да Те слави; слизащите в рова няма да се надяват на Твоята вярност.

The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.

Живият, живият, той ще Те хвали, както аз днес; бащата ще извести на синовете си Твоята вярност.

The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.

ГОСПОД е готов да ме спаси; затова ще свирим със струнни инструменти моите песни през всичките дни на живота си в дома ГОСПОДЕН.

For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.

А Исая беше казал: Нека вземат калъп сушени смокини и ги наложат на възпалението, и царят ще оздравее.

Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?

И Езекия беше казал: Какво е знамението, че ще се изкача в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом?
