Daniel 6

It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

Дарий намери за добре да постави над царството сто и двадесет сатрапи, които да бъдат по цялото царство,

And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.

и над тях — трима началници, един от които беше Даниил, за да им дават тези сатрапи отчет, за да не губи царят.

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

Тогава този Даниил се отличаваше от другите началници и сатрапите, защото в него имаше превъзходен дух; и царят намисли да го постави над цялото царство.

Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

Тогава началниците и сатрапите търсеха да намерят повод за обвинение против Даниил относно делата на царството; но не можаха да намерят никакъв повод или вина, защото той беше верен и в него не се намери никаква грешка или вина.

Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Тогава тези мъже казаха: Няма да намерим никаъкв повод против този Даниил, освен ако намерим нещо против него в закона на неговия Бог.

Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.

Тогава тези началници и сатрапи се спуснаха при царя и му казаха така: Царю Дарий, да си жив до века!

All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

Всички началници на царството, наместниците и сатрапите, съветниците и управителите се съветваха, царят да издаде указ и да се утвъри забрана, че който, до тридесет дни, би отправил някаква молба към който и да било бог или човек освен към теб, царю, да бъде хвърлен в рова на лъвовете.

Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

Сега, царю, утвърди забраната и подпиши писмената й форма, за да не се изменя, според закона на мидяните и персите, който е неотменим.

Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.

Затова цар Дарий подписа писмената забрана.

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

А когато Даниил научи, че писанието било подписано, влезе у дома си — а той имаше на стаята си отворени прозорци към Ерусалим — и три пъти на ден коленичеше на коленете си и се молеше и благодареше пред своя Бог, както беше правил преди това.

Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

Тогава онези мъже се спуснаха и намериха Даниил да отправя молба и да се моли пред своя Бог.

Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

Тогава се приближиха и говориха пред царя за царската забрана: Не подписа ли ти забрана, че всеки човек, който до тридесет дни би измолил нещо от който и да било бог или човек освен от теб, царю, ще се хвърли в рова на лъвовете? Царят отговори и каза: Това е вярно според закона на мидяните и персите, който е неотменим.

Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

Тогава те отговориха и казаха пред царя: Даниил, който е от пленените от Юда, не зачита нито теб, царю, нито забраната, която си подписал, а отправя молбата си три пъти на ден!

Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

Тогава царят, като чу това нещо, се наскърби много и взе присърце да спаси Даниил, и се бореше до залеза на слънцето да го избави.

Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.

Тогава онези мъже се спуснаха при царя и казаха на царя: Знай, царю, че е закон на мидяните и на персите, никаква забрана или указ, които царят постанови, да не се променят!

Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

Тогава царят заповяда и доведоха Даниил и го хвърлиха в рова на лъвовете. А царят проговори и каза на Даниил: Твоят Бог, на когото ти служиш непрестанно, Той нека те спаси!

And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.

И донесоха един камък и го поставиха на отвора на рова; и царят го запечата с печата си и с печата на големците си, за да не се промени намерението за Даниил.

Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.

Тогава царят отиде в двореца си и пренощува постейки, не поиска да донесат пред него забавления и сънят побягна от него.

Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.

После царят стана много рано сутринта и побърза да отиде при рова на лъвовете.

And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

И когато се приближи до рова, извика с плачевен глас към Даниил. Царят проговори и каза на Даниил: Данииле, служителю на живия Бог, твоят Бог, на когото служиш непрестанно, можа ли да те спаси от лъвовете?

Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

Тогава Даниил проговори на царя: Царю, да си жив до века!

My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

Моят Бог изпрати Ангела Си и затвори устата на лъвовете и те не ме повредиха, защото се намерих невинен пред Него; също и пред теб, царю, не съм извършил никакво престъпление.

Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

Тогава царят много се зарадва и заповяда да извадят Даниил от рова. И Даниил беше изваден от рова и на него не се намери никаква повреда, защото се беше доверил на своя Бог.

And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

И царят заповяда и доведоха онези мъже, които бяха издали Даниил, и хвърлиха тях, децата им и жените им в рова на лъвовете; и още преди да стигнат до дъното на рова, лъвовете ги сграбчиха и строшиха всичките им кости.

Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.

Тогава цар Дарий писа до всички народи, племена и езици, които живеят по цялата земя: Мир да ви се умножи!

I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

Издавам указ в цялото владение на царството ми да треперят и да се боят пред Бога на Даниил, защото Той е живият Бог и е утвърден до века, и Неговото царство е нерушимо, и Неговата власт ще бъде до края.

He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

Той спасява и избавя, и върши знамения и чудеса на небесата и на земята. Той спаси Даниил от силата на лъвовете.

So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

И този Даниил преуспяваше при царуването на Дарий и при царуването на персиеца Кир.
