Psalms 82

Gott steht in der Versammlung Gottes, inmitten der Götter richtet er.

God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

Bis wann wollt ihr ungerecht richten und die Person der Gesetzlosen ansehen? (Sela.)

How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

Schaffet Recht dem Geringen und der Waise; dem Elenden und dem Armen lasset Gerechtigkeit widerfahren!

Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Befreiet den Geringen und den Dürftigen, errettet ihn aus der Hand der Gesetzlosen!

Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

Sie wissen nichts und verstehen nichts, in Finsternis wandeln sie einher: es wanken alle Grundfesten der Erde.

They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

Ich habe gesagt: Ihr seid Götter, und Söhne des Höchsten ihr alle!

I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Doch wie ein Mensch werdet ihr sterben, und wie einer der Fürsten werdet ihr fallen.

But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

Stehe auf, o Gott, richte die Erde! denn du wirst zum Erbteil haben alle Nationen.

Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
