Psalms 20

Davidin Psalmi, edelläveisaajalle. Herra kuulkoon sinua hädässäs, Jakobin Jumalan nimi sinua varjelkoon!

The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

Hän lähettäköön sinulle apua pyhästä ja Zionista sinua vahvistakoon!

Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

Hän muistakoon kaikki ruokauhris, ja sinun polttouhris olkoon lihavat, Sela!

Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

Hän antakoon sinulle, mitä sinun sydämes anoo, ja päättäköön kaikki aivoitukses!

Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

Me kerskaamme sinun avustas, ja meidän Jumalamme nimessä me ylennämme lippumme: Herra täyttäköön kaikki sinun rukoukses!

We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

Nyt minä tunnen Herran voideltuansa auttavan, ja häntä kuulevan pyhästä taivaastansa: hänen oikia kätensä auttaa voimallisesti.

Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

Nämät uskaltavat rattaisiin ja oreihin; mutta me muistamme Herran Jumalamme nimeä.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

He ovat kukistetut ja langenneet; mutta me nousemme ja pystyällä seisomme.

They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

Auta Herra! Kuningas meitä kuulkaan, kuin me huudamme.

Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.
