Psalms 36

گناه در دل انسانهای شریر عمیقاً لانه کرده است. آنها از خدا نمی‌ترسند.

The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

زیرا آنها دل خود را خوش می‌کنند و فکر می‌کنند که خدا به گناه آنها پی نمی‌برد و آن را محکوم نمی‌کند.

For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

تمام سخنانشان حیله و فریب است. کارهای نیک و عاقلانه را ترک نموده‌اند.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

شبها نیز در بستر خود دسیسه می‌چینند. هیچ کار خوبی انجام نمی‌دهند و از هیچ شرارتی روگردان نیستند.

He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

ای خداوند، محبّت پایدار تو همچون آسمانها نامحدود و وفاداری تو فراتر از ابرهاست.

Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

نیکوکاری تو مانند کوههای سر به فلک کشیده و عدالت تو همچون دریاها عمیق است، ای خداوند، انسانها و حیوانات تحت مراقبت تو می‌باشند.

Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

محبّت پایدار تو ای خدا چقدر عالی است. تمام انسانها در سایهٔ بالهای تو پناه می‌آورند.

How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

همه از خوان نعمت تو می‌خورند و از چشمهٔ رحمت تو می‌نوشند.

They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

زیرا تو سرچشمهٔ زندگی هستی و در پرتو نور تو ما روشنی را می‌بینیم.

For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

به آنهایی که تو را می‌شناسند رحمت فرما، و آنانی را که پاكدل هستند نجات ده.

O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

مگذار که اشخاص مغرور بر من غالب گردند و مردم شریر مرا فراری دهند.

Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

ببین! بدکاران طوری سقوط کرده‌اند، که دیگر نمی‌توانند برخیزند.

There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
