I Peter 5

5:1

من كه یک رهبر كلیسا هستم و شاهد زحمات مسیح بودم و در آن جلالی كه قرار است بزودی ظاهر شود، شریک و سهیم خواهم بود، از شما رهبران كلیسا تقاضا می‌کنم:

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

5:2

از گلّه‌ای كه خدا به شما سپرده است شبانی و مراقبت كنید و كاری كه انجام می‌دهید از روی اجبار نباشد، بلكه چنانکه خدا می‌خواهد آن را از روی میل و رغبت انجام دهید، نه به منظور منفعت شخصی بلكه با حُسن نیّت و علاقه.

Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

5:3

سعی نكنید بر آنانی كه به دست شما سپرده شده‌اند خداوندی نمایید، بلكه برای آن گلّه نمونه باشید.

Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

5:4

و شما در وقتی‌که شبان اعظم ظاهر می‌شود تاج پُرجلالی را خواهید ربود كه هرگز پژمرده نمی‌شود.

And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

5:5

به همین طریق شما كه جوانتر هستید، باید مطیع رهبران كلیسا باشید و همهٔ شما حولهٔ فروتنی را به كمر بسته، یكدیگر را خدمت زیرا خدا مخالف متكبّران است، امّا به فروتنان فیض می‌بخشد.

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

5:6

پس در مقابل قدرت خدا فروتن باشید تا او شما را در وقت مناسب سرفراز نماید.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

5:7

بار تمام نگرانی‌های خود را به دوش او بگذارید، زیرا او همیشه در فكر شماست.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

5:8

هوشیار و مواظب باشید؛ زیرا دشمن شما ابلیس، چون شیری غُرّان به هرسو می‌گردد و در جستجوی كسی است كه او را ببلعد.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

5:9

با قدرت ایمان در مقابل او بایستید، زیرا می‌دانید كه ایمانداران در تمام دنیا به همین زحمات دچار شده‌اند.

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
