Psalms 82

Psalam. Asafov. Bog ustaje u skupštini "bogova", usred "bogova" sud održava.

God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

"Dokle ćete sudit' krivo, ić' na ruku bezbožnima?

How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

Štitite slaba i sirotu, vratite pravicu jadniku i siromahu!

Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Izbavite potlačenog i ubogog: istrgnite ga iz ruku bezbožnih!"

Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

Ne shvaćaju nit' razumiju, po mraku hodaju: poljuljani su svi temelji zemlje.

They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

Rekoh doduše: "Vi ste bogovi i svi ste sinovi Višnjega!

I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Ali ćete k'o svi ljudi umrijeti, past ćete kao svatko od velikih!"

But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

Ustani, Bože, i sudi zemlju, jer si s pravom gospodar svih naroda.

Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
