II Samuel 13

А след това стана така: Авесалом, синът на Давид, имаше красива сестра на име Тамар и Амнон, синът на Давид, я обикна.

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

А Амнон толкова се измъчваше заради сестра си Тамар, че се разболя; защото беше девица и на Амнон се виждаше невъзможно да й стори каквото и да било.

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her.

Но Амнон имаше един приятел на име Йонадав, син на Сама, брата на Давид; и Йонадав беше много хитър човек.

But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.

И той му каза: Защо ти, царски сине, слабееш ден след ден? Няма ли да ми кажеш? Тогава Амнон му каза: Обичам Тамар, сестрата на брат си Авесалом.

And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king's son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.

И Йонадав му каза: Легни на леглото си и се престори на болен. И когато баща ти дойде да те види, ти му кажи: Моля те, нека дойде сестра ми Тамар и да ми даде ядене да ям, и нека приготви храната пред мен, за да видя и да ям от ръката й.

And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.

Тогава Амнон легна и се престори на болен, и когато царят дойде да го види, Амнон каза на царя: Моля те, нека дойде сестра ми Тамар и да направи две питки пред очите ми, за да ям от ръката й.

So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.

И Давид прати у дома до Тамар да кажат: Иди сега в къщата на брат си Амнон и му приготви храна.

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon's house, and dress him meat.

И Тамар отиде в къщата на брат си Амнон, а той лежеше. И взе тесто и замеси, и направи питки пред очите му, и опече питките.

So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.

И взе тавата и ги изсипа пред него, но той отказа да яде. И Амнон каза: Нека всички излязат вън от мен! И всички излязоха от него.

And she took a pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.

Тогава Амнон каза на Тамар: Донеси яденето в спалнята, за да ям от ръката ти. И Тамар взе питките, които беше направила, и ги донесе на брат си Амнон в спалнята.

And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

А когато му подаде да яде, той я хвана и й каза: Ела, легни с мен, сестро моя!

And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.

Но тя му отговори: Не, брате мой, не ме насилвай, защото такова нещо не се прави в Израил; не прави това безумие!

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

А аз — къде да отнеса срама си? А ти — ти ще бъдеш като един от безумците в Израил. Затова сега, моля те, говори на царя, защото той няма да ме откаже на теб.

And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

Но той не поиска да послуша гласа й. И й надви и я насили, и лежа с нея.

Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

И Амнон я намрази с много голяма омраза, така че омразата, с която я намрази, беше по-силна от любовта, с която я беше обикнал. И Амнон й каза: Стани, махай се!

Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

А тя му каза: Няма причина; това зло, че ме гониш, е по-голямо от другото, което ми стори. Но той не искаше да я слуша.

And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

И той извика момчето, което му прислужваше, и каза: Изгонете сега тази вън от мен и заключи вратата след нея!

Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.

А тя беше облечена в шарена дреха, защото царските дъщери девици се обличаха в такива дрехи. И прислужникът му я изведе навън и заключи вратата след нея.

And she had a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the king's daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.

Тогава Тамар сложи пепел на главата си и раздра шарената си дреха, която беше на нея; и сложи ръката си на главата си и си отиде, като вървеше и викаше.

And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that was on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

А брат й Авесалом й каза: Брат ти Амнон ли беше с теб? Но сега мълчи, сестро моя. Брат ти е, не вземай това нещо присърце. Така Тамар остана самотна в дома на брат си Авесалом.

And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom's house.

А когато цар Давид чу за всички тези работи, много се разгневи.

But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.

А Авесалом не говори на Амнон нито добро, нито зло; защото Авесалом мразеше Амнон, понеже беше насилил сестра му Тамар.

And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.

А след две пълни години Авесалом имаше стригачи във Ваал-Асор, който е близо до Ефраим; и Авесалом покани всичките царски синове.

And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baal–hazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king's sons.

И Авесалом дойде при царя и каза: Ето сега, слугата ти има стригачи; моля те, нека царят и слугите му дойдат със слугата ти!

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

Но царят каза на Авесалом: Не, сине мой, нека не идваме всички, за да не ти натежим. И въпреки че настоя, той не поиска да отиде, но го благослови.

And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.

Тогава Авесалом каза: Щом не искаш, моля те, нека дойде с нас брат ми Амнон. И царят му каза: Защо да идва с теб?

Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?

Но Авесалом настоя и той позволи да отидат с него Амнон и всичките царски синове.

But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.

А Авесалом заповяда на момчетата си и каза: Гледайте сега, когато сърцето на Амнон се развесели от виното и когато аз ви кажа: Ударете Амнон! — тогава го убийте. Не се страхувайте; не съм ли аз, който ви заповядвам? Бъдете силни и храбри!

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.

И слугите на Авесалом направиха на Амнон, както беше заповядал Авесалом. Тогава всичките царски синове станаха и всеки възседна мулето си и побягна.

And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.

И докато бяха по пътя, слухът стигна до Давид и се каза: Авесалом избил всичките царски синове и не останал нито един от тях!

And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.

Тогава царят стана, раздра дрехите си и легна на земята; и всичките му слуги стояха с раздрани дрехи.

Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.

А Йонадав, синът на Сама, брата на Давид, заговори и каза: Нека не си казва господарят ми, че са убили всичките младежи, царските синове, защото само Амнон е мъртъв; понеже по заповедта на Авесалом това е било решено от деня, когато той насили сестра му Тамар.

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

Затова сега нека господарят ми, царят, не взема това нещо присърце, да си казва, че всичките царски синове са мъртви; защото само Амнон е мъртъв.

Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.

А Авесалом избяга. И момчето, което беше на стража, повдигна очите си и погледна, и ето, много хора идваха по пътя зад него, откъм планината.

But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.

И Йонадав каза на царя: Ето, царските синове идват; както каза слугата ти, така е станало.

And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king's sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.

И щом свърши да говори, ето, царските синове дойдоха и издигнаха гласовете си, и заплакаха. Също и царят и всичките му слуги плакаха много горчиво.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore.

А Авесалом избяга и отиде при гесурския цар Талмай, сина на Амиуд. И Давид скърбеше за сина си всеки ден.

But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.

Така Авесалом избяга и отиде в Гесур, и беше там три години.

So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.

А цар Давид копнееше да отиде при Авесалом, защото се беше утешил за смъртта на Амнон.

And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
