II Kings 20

В онова време Езекия се разболя до смърт. И пророк Исая, синът на Амос, дойде при него и му каза: Така казва ГОСПОД: Нареди за дома си, понеже ще умреш и няма да живееш!

In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

Тогава той обърна лицето си към стената и се помоли на ГОСПОДА и каза:

Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,

О, ГОСПОДИ, моля Те, спомни си как ходих пред Теб с истина и с неразделено сърце и върших това, което е добро пред Теб! И Езекия плака горчиво.

I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

И преди Исая да беше излязъл до средната част на града, ГОСПОДНОТО слово беше към него и каза:

And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,

Върни се и кажи на княза на Моя народ, Езекия: Така казва ГОСПОД, Бог на баща ти Давид: Чух молитвата ти, видях сълзите ти. Ето, ще те изцеля. На третия ден ще се изкачиш в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом.

Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

Ще прибавя на живота ти петнадесет години и ще избавя теб и този град от ръката на асирийския цар, и ще защитя този град заради Себе Си и заради слугата Си Давид.

And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

Тогава Исая каза: Вземете калъп сушени смокини. И взеха и го наложиха на възпалението, и царят оздравя.

And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

А Езекия беше казал на Исая: Какво ще бъде знамението, че ГОСПОД ще ме изцели и че на третия ден ще се изкача в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом?

And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?

И Исая беше казал: Това ще ти бъде знамението от ГОСПОДА, че ГОСПОД ще извърши словото, което говори: Десет стъпала напред ли да отиде сянката на слънчевия часовник, или да се върне десет стъпала назад?

And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?

И Езекия отговори: Лесно нещо е да се наклони сянката десет стъпала; не, нека сянката се върне десет стъпала назад!

And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.

И пророк Исая извика към ГОСПОДА и Той върна сянката по стъпалата, по които се беше наклонила върху слънчевия часовник на Ахаз, десет стъпала назад.

And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

В онова време вавилонският цар Веродах-Валадан, синът на Валадан, изпрати писмо и подарък на Езекия, защото чу, че Езекия се бил разболял.

At that time Berodach–baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.

И Езекия ги послуша и им показа цялата си съкровищница — среброто и златото, ароматите и скъпоценните масла, целия си оръжеен склад и всичко, което се намираше между съкровищата му. В къщата му и в цялото му владение не остана нищо, което Езекия не им показа.

And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.

Тогава пророк Исая дойде при цар Езекия и му каза: Какво казаха тези мъже и откъде дойдоха при теб? И Езекия каза: От далечна земя идват, от Вавилон.

Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.

Тогава каза: Какво видяха в къщата ти? И Езекия отговори: Видяха всичко, което е в къщата ми; няма нищо в съкровищниците ми, което не им показах.

And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.

Тогава Исая каза на Езекия: Слушай словото на ГОСПОДА:

And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD.

Ето, идват дни, когато всичко, което е в къщата ти, и което бащите ти са събрали до този ден, ще се пренесе във Вавилон; нищо няма да остане, казва ГОСПОД.

Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

И от синовете, които ще излязат от теб, които ще родиш, ще вземат и те ще станат скопци в двореца на вавилонския цар.

And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

Тогава Езекия каза на Исая: Добро е ГОСПОДНОТО слово, което ти говори. И каза: Нали в моите дни ще има мир и сигурност?

Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?

А останалите дела на Езекия и цялото му юначество, и как направи водоема и водопровода, и докара водата в града, не са ли записани в Книгата на летописите на юдовите царе?

And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

И Езекия легна при бащите си. А вместо него се възцари синът му Манасия.

And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
