Ezekiel 37

ایک دن رب کا ہاتھ مجھ پر آ ٹھہرا۔ رب نے مجھے اپنے روح سے باہر لے جا کر ایک کھلی وادی کے بیچ میں کھڑا کیا۔ وادی ہڈیوں سے بھری تھی۔

The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

اُس نے مجھے اُن میں سے گزرنے دیا تو مَیں نے دیکھا کہ وادی کی زمین پر بےشمار ہڈیاں بکھری پڑی ہیں۔ یہ ہڈیاں سراسر سوکھی ہوئی تھیں۔

And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

رب نے مجھ سے پوچھا، ”اے آدم زاد، کیا یہ ہڈیاں دوبارہ زندہ ہو سکتی ہیں؟“ مَیں نے جواب دیا، ”اے رب قادرِ مطلق، تُو ہی جانتا ہے۔“

And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

تب اُس نے فرمایا، ”نبوّت کر کے ہڈیوں کو بتا، ’اے سوکھی ہوئی ہڈیو، رب کا کلام سنو!

Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں تم میں دم ڈالوں گا تو تم دوبارہ زندہ ہو جاؤ گی۔

Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

مَیں تم پر نسیں اور گوشت چڑھا کر سب کچھ جِلد سے ڈھانپ دوں گا۔ مَیں تم میں دم ڈال دوں گا، اور تم زندہ ہو جاؤ گی۔ تب تم جان لو گی کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں‘۔“

And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

مَیں نے ایسا ہی کیا۔ اور جوں ہی مَیں نبوّت کرنے لگا تو شور مچ گیا۔ ہڈیاں کھڑکھڑاتے ہوئے ایک دوسری کے ساتھ جُڑ گئیں، اور ہوتے ہوتے پورے ڈھانچے بن گئے۔

So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

میرے دیکھتے دیکھتے نسیں اور گوشت ڈھانچوں پر چڑھ گیا اور سب کچھ جِلد سے ڈھانپا گیا۔ لیکن اب تک جسموں میں دم نہیں تھا۔

And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

پھر رب نے فرمایا، ”اے آدم زاد، نبوّت کر کے دم سے مخاطب ہو جا، ’اے دم، رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ چاروں طرف سے آ کر مقتولوں پر پھونک مار تاکہ دوبارہ زندہ ہو جائیں‘۔“

Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

مَیں نے ایسا ہی کیا تو مقتولوں میں دم آ گیا، اور وہ زندہ ہو کر اپنے پاؤں پر کھڑے ہو گئے۔ ایک نہایت بڑی فوج وجود میں آ گئی تھی!

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

تب رب نے فرمایا، ”اے آدم زاد، یہ ہڈیاں اسرائیلی قوم کے تمام افراد ہیں۔ وہ کہتے ہیں، ’ہماری ہڈیاں سوکھ گئی ہیں، ہماری اُمید جاتی رہی ہے۔ ہم ختم ہی ہو گئے ہیں!‘

Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

چنانچہ نبوّت کر کے اُنہیں بتا، ’رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اے میری قوم، مَیں تمہاری قبروں کو کھول دوں گا اور تمہیں اُن میں سے نکال کر ملکِ اسرائیل میں واپس لاؤں گا۔

Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

اے میری قوم، جب مَیں تمہاری قبروں کو کھول دوں گا اور تمہیں اُن میں سے نکال لاؤں گا تب تم جان لو گے کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں۔

And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

مَیں اپنا روح تم میں ڈال دوں گا تو تم زندہ ہو جاؤ گے۔ پھر مَیں تمہیں تمہارے اپنے ملک میں بسا دوں گا۔ تب تم جان لو گے کہ یہ میرا، رب کا فرمان ہے اور مَیں یہ کروں گا بھی‘۔“

And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

رب مجھ سے ہم کلام ہوا،

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

”اے آدم زاد، لکڑی کا ٹکڑا لے کر اُس پر لکھ دے، ’جنوبی قبیلہ یہوداہ اور جتنے اسرائیلی قبیلے اُس کے ساتھ متحد ہیں۔‘ پھر لکڑی کا ایک اَور ٹکڑا لے کر اُس پر لکھ دے، ’شمالی قبیلہ یوسف یعنی افرائیم اور جتنے اسرائیلی قبیلے اُس کے ساتھ متحد ہیں۔‘

Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:

اب لکڑی کے دونوں ٹکڑے ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ یوں جوڑ دے کہ تیرے ہاتھ میں ایک ہو جائیں۔

And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.

تیرے ہم وطن تجھ سے پوچھیں گے، ’کیا آپ ہمیں اِس کا مطلب نہیں بتائیں گے؟‘

And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?

تب اُنہیں بتا، ’رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں یوسف یعنی لکڑی کے مالک افرائیم اور اُس کے ساتھ متحد اسرائیلی قبیلوں کو لے کر یہوداہ کی لکڑی کے ساتھ جوڑ دوں گا۔ میرے ہاتھ میں وہ لکڑی کا ایک ہی ٹکڑا بن جائیں گے۔‘

Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

اپنے ہم وطنوں کی موجودگی میں لکڑی کے مذکورہ ٹکڑے ہاتھ میں تھامے رکھ

And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.

اور ساتھ ساتھ اُنہیں بتا، ’رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں اسرائیلیوں کو اُن قوموں میں سے نکال لاؤں گا جہاں وہ جا بسے ہیں۔ مَیں اُنہیں جمع کر کے اُن کے اپنے ملک میں واپس لاؤں گا۔

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

وہیں اسرائیل کے پہاڑوں پر مَیں اُنہیں متحد کر کے ایک ہی قوم بنا دوں گا۔ اُن پر ایک ہی بادشاہ حکومت کرے گا۔ آئندہ وہ نہ کبھی دو قوموں میں تقسیم ہو جائیں گے، نہ دو سلطنتوں میں۔

And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:

آئندہ وہ اپنے آپ کو نہ اپنے بُتوں یا باقی مکروہ چیزوں سے ناپاک کریں گے، نہ اُن گناہوں سے جو اب تک کرتے آئے ہیں۔ مَیں اُنہیں اُن تمام مقاموں سے نکال کر چھڑاؤں گا جن میں اُنہوں نے گناہ کیا ہے۔ مَیں اُنہیں پاک صاف کروں گا۔ یوں وہ میری قوم ہوں گے اور مَیں اُن کا خدا ہوں گا۔

Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

میرا خادم داؤد اُن کا بادشاہ ہو گا، اُن کا ایک ہی گلہ بان ہو گا۔ تب وہ میری ہدایات کے مطابق زندگی گزاریں گے اور دھیان سے میرے احکام پر عمل کریں گے۔

And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

جو ملک مَیں نے اپنے خادم یعقوب کو دیا تھا اور جس میں تمہارے باپ دادا رہتے تھے اُس میں اسرائیلی دوبارہ بسیں گے۔ ہاں، وہ اور اُن کی اولاد ہمیشہ تک اُس میں آباد رہیں گے، اور میرا خادم داؤد ابد تک اُن پر حکومت کرے گا۔

And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

تب مَیں اُن کے ساتھ سلامتی کا عہد باندھوں گا، ایک ایسا عہد جو ہمیشہ تک قائم رہے گا۔ مَیں اُنہیں قائم کر کے اُن کی تعداد بڑھاتا جاؤں گا، اور میرا مقدِس ابد تک اُن کے درمیان رہے گا۔

Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

وہ میری سکونت گاہ کے سائے میں بسیں گے۔ مَیں اُن کا خدا ہوں گا، اور وہ میری قوم ہوں گے۔

My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

جب میرا مقدِس ابد تک اُن کے درمیان ہو گا تو دیگر اقوام جان لیں گی کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں، کہ اسرائیل کو مُقدّس کرنے والا مَیں ہی ہوں‘۔“

And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
