Deuteronomy 33

مرنے سے پیشتر مردِ خدا موسیٰ نے اسرائیلیوں کو برکت دے کر

And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

کہا، ”رب سینا سے آیا، سعیر سے اُس کا نور اُن پر طلوع ہوا۔ وہ کوہِ فاران سے روشنی پھیلا کر رِببوت قادس سے آیا، وہ اپنے جنوبی علاقے سے روانہ ہو کر اُن کی خاطر پہاڑی ڈھلانوں کے پاس آیا۔

And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

یقیناً وہ قوموں سے محبت کرتا ہے، تمام مُقدّسین تیرے ہاتھ میں ہیں۔ وہ تیرے پاؤں کے سامنے جھک کر تجھ سے ہدایت پاتے ہیں۔

Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.

موسیٰ نے ہمیں شریعت دی یعنی وہ چیز جو یعقوب کی جماعت کی موروثی ملکیت ہے۔

Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.

اسرائیل کے راہنما اپنے قبیلوں سمیت جمع ہوئے تو رب یسورون کا بادشاہ بن گیا۔

And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.

روبن کی برکت: روبن مر نہ جائے بلکہ جیتا رہے۔ وہ تعداد میں بڑھ جائے۔

Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.

یہوداہ کی برکت: اے رب، یہوداہ کی پکار سن کر اُسے دوبارہ اُس کی قوم میں شامل کر۔ اُس کے ہاتھ اُس کے لئے لڑیں۔ مخالفوں کا سامنا کرتے وقت اُس کی مدد کر۔

And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.

لاوی کی برکت: تیری مرضی معلوم کرنے کے قرعے بنام اُوریم اور تُمیم تیرے وفادار خادم لاوی کے پاس ہوتے ہیں۔ تُو نے اُسے مسّہ میں آزمایا اور مریبہ میں اُس سے لڑا۔

And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;

اُس نے تیرا کلام سنبھال کر تیرا عہد قائم رکھا، یہاں تک کہ اُس نے نہ اپنے ماں باپ کا، نہ اپنے سگے بھائیوں یا بچوں کا لحاظ کیا۔

Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.

وہ یعقوب کو تیری ہدایات اور اسرائیل کو تیری شریعت سکھا کر تیرے سامنے بخور اور تیری قربان گاہ پر بھسم ہونے والی قربانیاں چڑھاتا ہے۔

They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.

اے رب، اُس کی طاقت کو بڑھا کر اُس کے ہاتھوں کا کام پسند کر۔ اُس کے مخالفوں کی کمر توڑ اور اُس سے نفرت رکھنے والوں کو ایسا مار کہ آئندہ کبھی نہ اُٹھیں۔

Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.

بن یمین کی برکت: بن یمین رب کو پیارا ہے۔ وہ سلامتی سے اُس کے پاس رہتا ہے، کیونکہ رب دن رات اُسے پناہ دیتا ہے۔ بن یمین اُس کی پہاڑی ڈھلانوں کے درمیان محفوظ رہتا ہے۔

And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.

یوسف کی برکت: رب اُس کی زمین کو برکت دے۔ آسمان سے قیمتی اوس ٹپکے اور زمین کے نیچے سے چشمے پھوٹ نکلیں۔

And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,

یوسف کو سورج کی بہترین پیداوار اور ہر مہینے کا لذیذترین پھل حاصل ہو۔

And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,

اُسے قدیم پہاڑوں اور ابدی وادیوں کی بہترین چیزوں سے نوازا جائے۔

And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,

زمین کے تمام ذخیرے اُس کے لئے کھل جائیں۔ وہ اُس کو پسند ہو جو جلتی ہوئی جھاڑی میں سکونت کرتا تھا۔ یہ تمام برکتیں یوسف کے سر پر ٹھہریں، اُس کے سر پر جو اپنے بھائیوں میں شہزادہ ہے۔

And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.

یوسف سانڈ کے پہلوٹھے جیسا عظیم ہے، اور اُس کے سینگ جنگلی بَیل کے سینگ ہیں جن سے وہ دنیا کی انتہا تک سب قوموں کو مارے گا۔ افرائیم کے بےشمار افراد ایسے ہی ہیں، منسّی کے ہزاروں افراد ایسے ہی ہیں۔

His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

زبولون اور اِشکار کی برکت: اے زبولون، گھر سے نکلتے وقت خوشی منا۔ اے اِشکار، اپنے خیموں میں رہتے ہوئے خوش ہو۔

And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.

وہ دیگر قوموں کو اپنے پہاڑ پر آنے کی دعوت دیں گے اور وہاں راستی کی قربانیاں پیش کریں گے۔ وہ سمندر کی کثرت اور سمندر کی ریت میں چھپے ہوئے خزانوں کو جذب کر لیں گے۔

They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.

جد کی برکت: مبارک ہے وہ جو جد کا علاقہ وسیع کر دے۔ جد شیرببر کی طرح دبک کر کسی کا بازو یا سر پھاڑ ڈالنے کے لئے تیار رہتا ہے۔

And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.

اُس نے اپنے لئے سب سے اچھی زمین چن لی، راہنما کا حصہ اُسی کے لئے محفوظ رکھا گیا۔ جب قوم کے راہنما جمع ہوئے تو اُس نے رب کی راست مرضی پوری کی اور اسرائیل کے بارے میں اُس کے فیصلے عمل میں لایا۔

And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.

دان کی برکت: دان شیرببر کا بچہ ہے جو بسن سے نکل کر چھلانگ لگاتا ہے۔

And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.

نفتالی کی برکت: نفتالی رب کی منظوری سے سیر ہے، اُسے اُس کی پوری برکت حاصل ہے۔ وہ گلیل کی جھیل اور اُس کے جنوب کا علاقہ میراث میں پائے گا۔

And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.

آشر کی برکت: آشر بیٹوں میں سب سے مبارک ہے۔ وہ اپنے بھائیوں کو پسند ہو۔ اُس کے پاس زیتون کا اِتنا تیل ہو کہ وہ اپنے پاؤں اُس میں ڈبو سکے۔

And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.

تیرے شہروں کے دروازوں کے کنڈے لوہے اور پیتل کے ہوں، تیری طاقت عمر بھر قائم رہے۔

Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.

یسورون کے خدا کی مانند کوئی نہیں ہے، جو آسمان پر سوار ہو کر، ہاں اپنے جلال میں بادلوں پر بیٹھ کر تیری مدد کرنے کے لئے آتا ہے۔

There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.

ازلی خدا تیری پناہ گاہ ہے، وہ اپنے ازلی بازو تیرے نیچے پھیلائے رکھتا ہے۔ وہ دشمن کو تیرے سامنے سے بھگا کر اُسے ہلاک کرنے کو کہتا ہے۔

The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

چنانچہ اسرائیل سلامتی سے زندگی گزارے گا، یعقوب کا چشمہ الگ اور محفوظ رہے گا۔ اُس کی زمین اناج اور انگور کی کثرت پیدا کرے گی، اور اُس کے اوپر آسمان زمین پر اوس پڑنے دے گا۔

Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.

اے اسرائیل، تُو کتنا مبارک ہے۔ کون تیری مانند ہے، جسے رب نے بچایا ہے۔ وہ تیری مدد کی ڈھال اور تیری شان کی تلوار ہے۔ تیرے دشمن شکست کھا کر تیری خوشامد کریں گے، اور تُو اُن کی کمریں پاؤں تلے کچلے گا۔“

Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
