Deuteronomy 34

یہ برکت دے کر موسیٰ موآب کا میدانی علاقہ چھوڑ کر یریحو کے مقابل نبو پہاڑ پر چڑھ گیا۔ نبو پِسگہ کے پہاڑی سلسلے کی ایک چوٹی تھا۔ وہاں سے رب نے اُسے وہ پورا ملک دکھایا جو وہ اسرائیل کو دینے والا تھا یعنی جِلعاد کے علاقے سے لے کر دان کے علاقے تک،

And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,

نفتالی کا پورا علاقہ، افرائیم اور منسّی کا علاقہ، یہوداہ کا علاقہ بحیرۂ روم تک،

And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,

جنوب میں دشتِ نجب اور کھجور کے شہر یریحو کی وادی سے لے کر ضُغر تک۔

And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.

رب نے اُس سے کہا، ”یہ وہ ملک ہے جس کا وعدہ مَیں نے قَسم کھا کر ابراہیم، اسحاق اور یعقوب سے کیا۔ مَیں نے اُن سے کہا تھا کہ اُن کی اولاد کو یہ ملک ملے گا۔ تُو اُس میں داخل نہیں ہو گا، لیکن مَیں تجھے یہاں لے آیا ہوں تاکہ تُو اُسے اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھ سکے۔“

And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.

اِس کے بعد رب کا خادم موسیٰ وہیں موآب کے ملک میں فوت ہوا، بالکل اُسی طرح جس طرح رب نے کہا تھا۔

So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.

رب نے اُسے بیت فغور کی کسی وادی میں دفن کیا، لیکن آج تک کسی کو بھی معلوم نہیں کہ اُس کی قبر کہاں ہے۔

And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth–peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.

اپنی وفات کے وقت موسیٰ 120 سال کا تھا۔ آخر تک نہ اُس کی آنکھیں دُھندلائیں، نہ اُس کی طاقت کم ہوئی۔

And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.

اسرائیلیوں نے موآب کے میدانی علاقے میں 30 دن تک اُس کا ماتم کیا۔

And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.

پھر یشوع بن نون موسیٰ کی جگہ کھڑا ہوا۔ وہ حکمت کی روح سے معمور تھا، کیونکہ موسیٰ نے اپنے ہاتھ اُس پر رکھ دیئے تھے۔ اسرائیلیوں نے اُس کی سنی اور وہ کچھ کیا جو رب نے اُنہیں موسیٰ کی معرفت بتایا تھا۔

And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.

اِس کے بعد اسرائیل میں موسیٰ جیسا نبی کبھی نہ اُٹھا جس سے رب رُوبرُو بات کرتا تھا۔

And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,

کسی اَور نبی نے ایسے الٰہی نشان اور معجزے نہیں کئے جیسے موسیٰ نے فرعون بادشاہ، اُس کے ملازموں اور پورے ملک کے سامنے کئے جب رب نے اُسے مصر بھیجا۔

In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,

کسی اَور نبی نے اِس قسم کا بڑا اختیار نہ دکھایا، نہ ایسے عظیم اور ہیبت ناک کام کئے جیسے موسیٰ نے اسرائیلیوں کے سامنے کئے۔

And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.
