Romans 5

Justificados, pois, pela fé, temos paz com Deus, por nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo,

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

por quem obtivemos também acesso pela fé a esta graça, na qual estamos firmes, e gloriamo-nos na esperança da glória de Deus.

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

E não somente isso, mas também nos gloriamos nas tribulações; sabendo que a tribulação produz a perseverança,

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

e a perseverança a experiência, e a experiência a esperança;

And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

e a esperança não desaponta, porquanto o amor de Deus é derramado em nossos corações pelo Espírito Santo que nos é dado.

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Pois, quando ainda éramos fracos, a seu tempo, Cristo morreu pelos ímpios.

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Porque dificilmente haverá quem morra por um justo; pois poderá ser que por um homem bom alguém ouse morrer.

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

Mas Deus dá prova do seu amor para conosco, em que, quando éramos ainda pecadores, Cristo morreu por nós.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Logo muito mais, sendo agora justificados pelo seu sangue, seremos salvos da ira por meio dele.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Porque se nós, quando éramos inimigos, fomos reconciliados com Deus pela morte de seu Filho, muito mais, estando já reconciliados, seremos salvos pela sua vida.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

E não somente isso, mas também nos gloriamos em Deus por nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, pelo qual agora temos recebido a reconciliação.

And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Portanto, assim como por um só homem entrou o pecado no mundo, e pelo pecado a morte, assim também a morte passou a todos os homens, porquanto todos pecaram.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Porque até o tempo da lei estava o pecado no mundo, mas o pecado não é imputado onde não há lei.

(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

No entanto a morte reinou desde Adão até Moisés, mesmo sobre aqueles que não pecaram à semelhança da transgressão de Adão, o qual é figura daquele que havia de vir.

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

Mas o dom gratuito não é assim como a ofensa; porque, se pela ofensa de um, muitos morreram, muito mais a graça de Deus, e o dom pela graça de um homem, Jesus Cristo, foram abundantes para com muitos.

But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

O dom, entretanto, não é como a ofensa por um que pecou; porque o julgamento veio de um, para a condenação; mas o dom gratuito é de muitas ofensas, para a justificação.

And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

Porque, se pela ofensa de um só, a morte veio a reinar por esse, muito mais os que recebem a abundância da graça, e do dom da justiça, reinarão em vida por um só, Jesus Cristo.

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Portanto, assim como pela ofensa de um veio o julgamento sobre todos os homens para a condenação, assim também pela justiça de um veio o dom gratuito sobre todos os homens para a justificação da vida.

Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Porque, assim como pela desobediência de um só homem muitos foram feitos pecadores, assim também pela obediência de um muitos serão feitos justos.

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Além disso, a lei entrou para que a ofensa abundasse; mas, onde abundou o pecado, superabundou a graça;

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

para que, assim como o pecado reinou para a morte, assim também a graça reine pela justiça para a vida eterna, por Jesus Cristo nosso Senhor.

That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
