Psalms 138

I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.

داؤد کا زبور۔ اے رب، مَیں پورے دل سے تیری ستائش کروں گا، معبودوں کے سامنے ہی تیری تمجید کروں گا۔

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

مَیں تیری مُقدّس سکونت گاہ کی طرف رُخ کر کے سجدہ کروں گا، تیری مہربانی اور وفاداری کے باعث تیرا شکر کروں گا۔ کیونکہ تُو نے اپنے نام اور کلام کو تمام چیزوں پر سرفراز کیا ہے۔

In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.

جس دن مَیں نے تجھے پکارا تُو نے میری سن کر میری جان کو بڑی تقویت دی۔

All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.

اے رب، دنیا کے تمام حکمران تیرے منہ کے فرمان سن کر تیرا شکر کریں۔

Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.

وہ رب کی راہوں کی مدح سرائی کریں، کیونکہ رب کا جلال عظیم ہے۔

Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

کیونکہ گو رب بلندیوں پر ہے وہ پست حال کا خیال کرتا اور مغروروں کو دُور سے ہی پہچان لیتا ہے۔

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

جب کبھی مصیبت میرا دامن نہیں چھوڑتی تو تُو میری جان کو تازہ دم کرتا ہے، تُو اپنا دہنا ہاتھ بڑھا کر مجھے میرے دشمنوں کے طیش سے بچاتا ہے۔

The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

رب میری خاطر بدلہ لے گا۔ اے رب، تیری شفقت ابدی ہے۔ اُنہیں نہ چھوڑ جن کو تیرے ہاتھوں نے بنایا ہے!
